After the “Big Brother” couple’s recent split, season 26 runner-up Makensy Manbeck took to her Instagram story to document her time out at F1 for work.
Makensy & Matt Confirm Their Breakup After Almost Two Years
Makensy and Matt first connected during the 26th season of “Big Brother,” then the former contestants hard-launched their relationship back in December 2024.
Makensy wrote about her emotional breakup from Matt in an Instagram story on October 17. As reported by Us Weekly, she said:
“I want to be very open with y’all, just as I’ve been over the past year while sharing my life. Matt and I are no longer together. And I want to make it 100% clear, no one cheated. We are normal people who spent great time together that sadly came to an end.”
“I loved Matt very much, and I still do. He is a big part of my life. I am truly grateful that God crossed our paths, even if it wasn’t for forever. I know many of you were invested in us, and I can’t thank you enough for your support through the past year.”
She finished off her statement with, “All I ask moving forward is that you continue to support and please be kind. I loved him and our relationship deeply, and this will be a long road of healing for me. I will do my best to stay present with y’all through it all though. Thank you for understanding and for always supporting me. Love y’all.”
Newly Single ‘BB26’ Alum Enjoys Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience
In a series of Instagram stories from October 18, Makensy wanted to move on from her previous statement and move forward with positivity. She started by sharing her VIP day at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas for the 2025 United States Grand Prix, where the sprint race was held.
Makensy began her day with a mirror selfie, captioned, “on a lighter note, this am I am headed to @f1 rn for work…so I’ll be posting some stuff today.”
The following story featured a photo of her dad with the racetrack behind him, excitedly writing, “let’s get this day started!!!”
The third story had Makensy holding an espresso martini and cheersing her dad with a cocktail of his own. “Always 5 o’clock in the Paddock Club w/ @msccruises.us.”
The fourth story was a photo of her dad again, this time he was posing on the track. She wrote a sweet message in dedication to him, “took him on the track thanks to @msccruises.us. Thankful for such a great day.”
In her fifth story, she took a picture of a couple f1 cars sitting at the starting line. “Bout to take off 🏎️🏁”
Then she posted another story of the starting line from a different vantage point. “Race time!!!!”
In her seventh story, Makensy documented their delicious looking meals, paired with another cocktail. “Yup! I’m going back for 2nds, trust!!!”
In her eighth story, Makensy actually got the chance to hold the trophy. She wrote, “VIP track tour & holding the Formula 1 World Drivers Championship Trophy.”
In her final story, Makensy posed with a wide grin and an adorable denim set. With the track in the background and a fun day behind her, she signed off with, “today was exactly what I needed.”
