“Big Brother 28” alum Jason is opening up about where things currently stand with former houseguest Kamu following their complicated time in the house.
Jason joined Big D, Hisam and Tommy on the Sept. 2 episode of Heavy Crown Network’s “OUT HOUSE,” where the group discussed his experience on “Big Brother 28,” adjusting to life outside the game and his relationship with Kamu.
Jason revealed that Kamu has reached out to him since leaving the house. However, Jason said he is still processing what happened between them and has not decided what kind of relationship, if any, he wants with his former castmate moving forward.
Jason Says Kamu Reached Out After ‘Big Brother 28’
Jason and Kamu experienced tension during their time together on “Big Brother 28,” but Jason explained that leaving the house gave him access to information and viewer perspectives he did not have while playing.
During “OUT HOUSE,” Jason said it initially felt good to receive support from viewers who related to his experience. Once Kamu was evicted, however, Jason began separating outside opinions from his own feelings.
“How do I really feel?” Jason recalled asking himself.
Jason said Kamu eventually sent him a message after leaving the house. The contact prompted Jason to think more seriously about what he actually wants from their relationship rather than immediately deciding whether they are friends or enemies.
“I don’t even know what I want from him,” Jason said.
He added that he would like to be able to spend time with the cast without awkwardness but remains unsure whether he wants a friendship with Kamu.

Jason also explained that his perspective has changed as he watches moments from the season that he could not see while inside the house.
He said it was difficult during the game to determine which conflicts were strategic and which felt more personal. Watching the season and hearing viewers’ reactions has given him additional context.
The “OUT HOUSE” hosts encouraged Jason to make whatever decision feels right for him rather than feeling responsible for satisfying viewers.
Jason expressed appreciation for that support and said the conversation felt particularly meaningful because the hosts understood both the “Big Brother” experience and what it means to represent the LGBTQ+ community on reality television.
He said he had not publicly addressed the situation with Kamu in depth since Kamu’s eviction and was grateful to have an opportunity to discuss it in that setting.
Jason Looks Ahead to the ‘Big Brother 28’ Finale
Despite the difficult parts of his experience, Jason is also looking forward to what comes next.
Toward the end of the “OUT HOUSE” conversation, he shared that he plans to attend the “Big Brother 28” finale and hopes to arrive in drag.
“My intention is to go in drag,” Jason said, adding that he would be open to seeing whether Kamu wants to hug him when they reunite.
Jason is also preparing to return to performing. He revealed that he will join a 13-city Halloween drag tour across the United States and Canada beginning shortly after the “Big Brother 28” finale.
For now, Jason appears focused on giving himself room to process the season while enjoying the support he has received since leaving the house.
As for his relationship with Kamu, Jason is not rushing toward an answer. Instead, he is allowing himself to decide what feels right once the cameras, competition and outside expectations are removed from the equation.
