“Summer House” star Kyle Cooke is reflecting on one of the most emotional nights of his reality TV journey — and giving credit to the friends who helped him through it.
Following the latest explosive episode of the popular Bravo show, Cooke took to Instagram on Thursday, May 14, to share his thoughts on the fallout and express gratitude for longtime friend Carl Radke and castmate Ben Waddell.
The Touching Post About ‘Bo Code’
The post featured three photos from the emotional episode.
One image captured Cooke reconciling with Radke after the pair’s heated argument, while the others showed him embracing Waddell.
Despite the difficult circumstances surrounding the night, Cooke said the support from his friends meant everything.
“Thankful for my bros and yes I’m fully aware that it looks like Ben and I are about to kiss. Let’s blame it on the angle,” Cooke joked in his caption. “In all seriousness, not sure what I would have done if Ben wasn’t there to support me at the table and comfort me afterwards, and for Carl to join me in immediately apologizing and making up.”
Cooke went on to reflect on what friendship and emotional vulnerability mean to him, especially in the aftermath of such a public breakdown.
“There’s been a lot of talk about girl code but this is the stuff bro code is made of,” he wrote. “Real men cry, hug it out, and aren’t afraid to be emotional and vulnerable. As hard as this night was I’m glad it’s shed a light on things and I’m forever grateful for my bros. xoxo”
The emotional social media message came after viewers watched tensions boil over during the latest episode.
Earlier in the night, Cooke learned that his then-wife, Amanda Batula, had been considering separating from him — a revelation he learned through her then-friend Ciara Miller.
The situation escalated during a dinner hosted by Lindsay Hubbard, where Hubbard questioned Cooke about his DJ residency in Las Vegas.
Emotions eventually reached a breaking point, leading to an explosive confrontation between Cooke and Radke.
However, despite the heated exchange, the two longtime friends quickly worked through their issues and reconciled afterward.
Cooke Addressed the Difficult Episode Prior to Its Airing
Before the episode even aired, Cooke had already publicly addressed his behavior and acknowledged the difficult nature of reliving the moment onscreen.
“Tonight’s Summer House episode was the hardest I’ve ever had to watch and relive,” he wrote in an earlier social media post. “My lowest of lows. A true crash out. I take full responsibility and accountability for my words and actions, but for now I just want to pretend I’m back on this beach with my friends before [expletive] hit the fan and everything fell apart.”
Since filming wrapped, much has changed in Cooke’s personal life.
He and Batula have since split, while Batula later moved on with Cooke’s friend, West Wilson, who also previously had a relationship with Miller — adding another complicated layer to the group’s ever-evolving dynamics.
The highly anticipated reunion is set to air later in the month.
