GettyDuring a Sept. 26 interview with Entertainment Tonight, former “Vanderpump Rules” star Lala Kent opened up about her current relationship status and dating life. The reality TV star, who also appears on the VPR spinoff, “The Valley,” has been busy caring for her two young daughters, but fans are curious if she’s also finding time for romance.
Kent admitted that at the time of her interview, she was very much single, though the idea of having a partner in the future isn’t completely off the table. Discussing the type of person she would want in her life, Kent said that it “has to be a guy who just makes me feel so happy and safe and secure.”
But Kent also shared that she isn’t really seeking a partner as she has been living a very fulfilling life with her two children. “At this point, I don’t need anybody. I’ve created life by myself,” she added, referring to her second daughter, Sosa Kent, who was born via sperm donor.
Still, “The Valley” star said that she doesn’t want to say “never” on the possibility of finding the perfect man. “So, I don’t want to say ‘never,’ but I have not met anybody who’s worth letting stay here past 7 a.m. — my kid wakes up at seven, you gotta go.”
Kent ended their conversation by sharing that she’d know if she met the right person when she has that “feeling of safety and security.” However, he also “better be friggin’ hot,” she joked.
Kent Sets the Record Straight on Romance Rumors with Tom Schwartz
Kent set Bravo fans buzzing when she shared a photo on Instagram Stories of her “soft launch” with her former VPR co-star, Tom Schwartz. The snap showed Schwartz’s arm around Kent, who captioned the image, “Soft launch. Like, so soft it’s not even real type soft.”
Of course, Kent was playing into the ongoing rumors that she and Schwartz were now an item. During a July 1 episode of his “Detox Retox with Tom Schwartz” podcast, he addressed the dating rumors, sharing that he “had no clue where that rumor originated.”
During an Amazon Livestream on Sept. 30, Kent also spoke out about the dating speculation, squashing any rumors that the two were romantically involved.
“Some people won’t let the Lala and Tom Schwartz thing go, and I just don’t see it happening. He is one of my dearest friends, though. We’ve gotten very close over the past, I wanna say, year. He’s just a good dude,” she shared.
