Lala Kent celebrated her daughter Sosa’s first birthday with a sweet party theme. On Sept. 6, 2025, the “Vanderpump Rules” alum pulled out all the stops with an “Isn’t She Onederful” theme celebrating Sosa’s first year of life.
Sosa was born on Sept. 3, 2024. Kent conceived her daughter using an anonymous sperm donor and intrauterine insemination (IUI). The reality star also has a 4-year-old daughter, Ocean, from her relationship with her former fiancé, Randall Emmett.
Lala Kent’s Party for Sosa Was Filled With Flowers & Butterflies
Kent shared snippets from the party on social media. In a post to her Instagram stories, she shared photos and videos of the décor for the backyard party, which included large pastel balloon arches.
Kent wore a green and white striped sundress as she posed with baby Sosa, who wore a white dress with flowers on it.
The food area featured a lavish taco bar and a tiered celebration cake decorated with flowers and butterfly fondant. A smaller smash cake was in place for the birthday girl.
In one photo, Kent knelt in front of Sosa’s highchair to encourage her to dive into the cake. “Negotiations to smash the cake,” she wrote, adding, “She won. The cake went unsmashed.”
There were also cookies with Sosa’s picture on them and macarons that were imprinted with “Isn’t she lovely, isn’t she Onederful,” a nod to Stevie Wonder’s 1976 song, “Isn’t She Lovely.”
Some of the party guests tagged in the photos included “The Valley” star Michelle Saniei and her daughter Isabella, and Kent’s longtime friends Logan Noh and Jared Lipscomb.

Lala Kent Said Her Daughter Sosa Filled a Void in Her Life
Lala Kent has been fiercely protective of her children. Her split from Emmett came in 2021 when their daughter Ocean was just seven months old, and a difficult custody battle ensued. She later vowed that she would never “share“ a child with anyone again.
“The best part about my baby daddy is that he does not exist,” she said on Amazon Live when she was pregnant with Sosa. “I have been pretty open about wanting to really have full control of — I guess not my child, but having them around me all the time.”
“I don’t want to share my child again. It’s something that I’ve experienced, and I refuse to experience it again,” she added. “I will say, my heart will always be up for grabs, I believe in love, I know that I will find love again. But for me, my child will never be up for grabs again,” she continued.
On Sosa’s first birthday, Kent posted photos to Instagram from their first year together. “My sweet girl,” she wrote. “What a dream we’ve been in for the past year with you. Watching you grow into your own little human is heart melting. You are the newest of souls, you are smart, you are inquisitive, you are particular, you are slightly high strung (same), already very vocal, and the cheesiest baby I’ve ever seen. You have fulfilled a part of me I didn’t know existed. I’m so happy I had you. May God bless you always- Happy birthday, Mini Munch.”
