Who Is Lindsay Flake in ‘Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition’
The premise of the new show is to give viewers a glimpse at how familiar faces from “The Real Housewives” franchise deal when placed into normal lives. Episodes will provide a look at challenges faced when the reality television stars swap lives with everyday mothers. Katsanevas will be swapping with Lindsay Flake, whose family lives off the grid without many modern amenities.
The official logline for the episode from Bravo describes Flake as an “off-the-grid homesteader and former Mormon” who lives “without electricity, running water and rules.”
Flake’s Instagram page confirms that she has a husband and three children, made up of two boys and a girl. The family also own a dog and describe themselves as nature lovers who enjoy being outdoors. A post from February 21 confirms that they sold their home and began to live off-grid in a homestead.
The post reads, “We want a life built by our own hands, where we rely on ourselves, not what society tells us we should have.”

The Show’s Debut Was Delayed Following Wendy Osefo’s Arrest
“Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition” was originally intended to premiere on October 14, but the first episode was postponed following the arrest of Wendy Osefo. She and her husband were arrested earlier this month and faced several legal charges. TMZ reported that this included 16 charges in total, with multiple counts of insurance fraud.
“The Real Housewives of Potomac” cast member has since thanked her fans for their support, stating on Instagram that she is “forever grateful” for their prayers and love. The episode of “Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition” featuring Osefo will now air on November 9, acting as the final episode of the season, following episodes featuring Melissa Gorga and Emily Simpson.
