Madison LeCroy went straight back to filming “Southern Charm” after giving birth to her daughter, Teddi, saying there were “no days off” in her new chapter of motherhood.
LeCroy, 34, told Page Six on Monday, September 29 she resumed shooting Season 11 immediately after Teddi’s June 29 arrival.
She described her reality-TV role as both “challenging and fulfilling,” especially as an outlet during postpartum, when days can otherwise feel aimless.
“I went back to work immediately. It’s been great,” she said. “I’m filming a reality show during the birth of my child, so there were no days off for me.”
LeCroy acknowledged that while the job is “low-key love,” it has its difficult moments.
She added that having a camera crew in her and husband Brett Randle’s Charleston, South Carolina, home provided structure and purpose during the early, unpredictable days.
Reality TV Is Second Nature for the Star
Because she’s been part of “Southern Charm” since 2019, the show has become second nature to her. “As far as going back to the show … that’s the part you sign up for. My job is my reality,” LeCroy said.
LeCroy has a 12-year-old son, Hudson, from her first marriage, and married Randle in November 2022.
She announced her second pregnancy during the Season 10 reunion and kept filming while heavily pregnant in May.
Prior to starring in reality TV, the Bravo star worked as a hairstylist.
LeCroy Talks Welcoming Teddi Early
LeCroy ended up giving birth at only 34 weeks. She told Us Weekly how she ended up having to have a C-section during the unexpected delivery.
The doctors tried to put off the delivery for as long as possible. “We kind of prolonged the labor and Brett got here and then we waited another day and had the C-section and there she was five minutes later,” LeCroy told the outlet.
Teddi had to spend a few days in the NICU, but was soon able to leave.
At the time, LeCroy gushed on how her daughter is a fighter.
“She’s a little. She’s only five pounds, but she’s breathing on her own and hasn’t needed any oxygen or anything like that. She’s kind of a little trooper,” LeCroy told the outlet. “[Doctors] were shocked with how early she was that she was gonna be this independent. So I was like, ‘Oh, I wasn’t shocked at all.’”
Since Teddi’s arrival, LeCroy has shared adorable images of her daughter to social media.
