RHOA’s Kandi Burruss Steals the Spotlight With Major BravoCon 2025 Win

Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum Kandi Burruss was given a very prestigious honor at The Bravos on Friday, November 14, during BravoCon 2025.

Kandi’s Impressive Career on and off Screen

Kandi joined “RHOA” in 2009 during its second season and remained a cast member for 14 consecutive seasons. Her impressive run makes her the longest-serving housewife in the franchise’s history. Her other programs on Bravo include “Kandi & the Gang,” “Xscape: Still Kickin’ It,” “Kandi Koated Nights,” and “The Kandi Factory.”

Kandi is also a two-time Broadway producer, actress, singer, Grammy-winning songwriter and host of “The Burruss Banter” podcast.

She made her impressive Broadway debut back in 2018 in the hit show “Chicago” as the character Matron “Mama” Morton. She then transitioned to producing a range of successful plays and musicals, such as “Thoughts of a Colored Man,” “The Piano Lesson,” “The Wiz,” and recent sensation “Othello,” starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal. Kandi and her husband Todd Tucker, along with the rest of their production team, scored their biggest achievement yet with “Othello.” The play broke the record for highest weekly gross for a Broadway play, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and brought in $2.8 million in its second week of previews.

Kandi has shared her thoughts on returning to the popular reality show. “I’m just not there at this moment in my life,” she admitted when speaking with Entertainment Tonight. “I’m doing what I really love. But I’m supporting from afar.”

Though she may not be returning to TV, Kandi will be making her comeback to Broadway in December when she joins the cast of the hit musical & Juliet. She will be playing the role of Angélique, Juliet’s nurse, for a limited run at New York City’s Stephen Sondheim Theatre from December 11 through March 8, 2026.

Kandi Accepts Her Win

Kandi graciously accepted the much deserved “Wifetime Achievement Award” during The Bravos.

“I am filled with like all kind of like tingly, you know tingly senses going on because I’m excited,” Kandi said in an interview with Bravo after receiving the honor.

“It was a wonderful feeling to accept the award with my daughter standing right next to me. And all the fans were showing so much love. And even the — all of our Bravo family, everybody was showing love and I really appreciate it. It made me feel good. I’m so thankful to be the Wifetime Achievement Award recipient.”

Kandi commented on the video clip of her interview: “I’m on cloud 9 right now! ❤️”

Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen spoke about how happy he was that Kandi would be receiving the award later that night. “We wanted to celebrate her before she had been gone from the show for too long,” said Andy. “I’m so excited that she accepted. Now, of course, Riley is an important part of the Bravoverse, so it’s gonna be really great to honor her tonight.”
