As Keanu Reeves continues his run of “Waiting for Godot” on Broadway, he took some time to pose for pictures with a special guest. Sandra Bullock came out to support her friend, over 30 years since they starred together in 1994’s “Speed.”
People took to Instagram on Monday, December 22, to share a photo of the pair as well as one of Bullock and Reeves with fellow “Godot” performer (and “Bill & Ted” co-star) Alex Winter. A third photo showed the trio along with actors Brandon J. Dirden and Michael Patrick Thornton.
Fans Loved Seeing Keanu & Sandra Back Together
There’s no doubt that fans adore both Reeves and Bullock, and they definitely love seeing the pair together.
One person took to the Instagram comments to write, “Keandra forever ❤️”
“A beautiful enduring friendship ❤️ Would love to see them paired on screen again ❤️,” someone else wrote.
A third person left a comment, saying, “😍😍😍😍🔥❤️❤️you can see it, the happiness in his eyes ❤️❤️ so cute 🥰”
“Connection between two people who sincerely care matters a lot, it brings everlasting friendship between both,” came from another fan.
A few people noted that they’d love to see more from the duo, with one person writing, “They should make another speed movie together involving an airplane this time.”
And there were the fans who regretted that a romance never bloomed between the two.
One fan who felt that way wrote, “I wish they dated ❤️❤️❤️ they both had crushes on each other.”
Could Their Friendship Have Survived a Romance?
GettyWhile Reeves and Bullock clearly have chemistry and a lasting friendship, one thing they’ve never had together is a romance.
“Nope,” she told Esquire in November 2021, when the subject came up. Previously claiming that a romantic relationship might interfere with their friendship, she added, “But who knows?”
“Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated,” she continued. “I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him. So maybe we could have survived. I don’t know.”
“But we didn’t have to survive anything,” she stated. “We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together. And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being. Would I have been able to say that if he had dumped me and made me angry? Probably not.”
