Keanu Reeves is taking center stage on Broadway in “Waiting for Godot,” and he’s receiving nothing but love from Alexandra Grant. The artist shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute after attending the first preview, praising Reeves’ performance as Estragon and the show’s imaginative staging.

She congratulated director Jamie Lloyd and the cast before turning her words to Reeves:
“Your hard work and dedication to trying something new and brave is so inspiring, artist to artist. Your Estragon is unlike any I’ve seen before.”

“To Keanu — who is not on social media, and with whom I’ll share this later — your hard work and dedication … is so inspiring,” she added. “So honored to go on this creative journey with you!” See her photos and the post here.
A Birthday Surprise From His Biggest Supporter
(Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images)Reeves’ Broadway milestone comes just as he turned 61. Grant marked the occasion with a rare Instagram post, showing a heart-shaped cake decorated with red icing that read “KEANU X.” Fans got a rare glimpse of the couple’s private life, as candles lined the cake and Grant celebrated her partner with love.
Grant has spoken openly about their sweet later-in-life romance. “The good news about falling in love as an adult is that I had built my own career by the time that my relationship had begun,” she told People in 2023. “I feel very confident in the relationship on the red carpet. I feel confident on it alone.”
Reeves confirmed their relationship the following year, telling Parade in 2020: “It’s been really wonderful to be with Alexandra. We enjoy each other’s company, whatever that may be.”
A Creative & Loving Partnership
Reeves and Grant first met in 2009 at a dinner party and later collaborated on books including “Ode to Happiness” and “Shadows.” In 2017, they co-founded X Artists’ Books. Their creative bond soon blossomed into a romance.
Though they value privacy, they occasionally share glimpses of their love in public. In 2023, they shared a kiss on the red carpet at the MOCA Gala in Los Angeles.
Reeves also shared his joy with People, revealing his last blissful moment: “A couple of days ago with my honey. We were in bed. We were connected. We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great. It was just really nice to be together.”
From blockbuster hits like “The Matrix,” “John Wick,” and “Speed” to his new chapter on Broadway, Reeves is proving that some of his most significant roles — and happiest moments — are offscreen, shared with Grant.
