Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness revealed their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage, and finalized their divorce in June 2025. Now, the former couple is selling the massive West Village penthouse they formerly shared for $29.9 million, according to The New York Post. While that might seem like a lot of money, it happens to be “nearly $10 million less than the $38.9 million price tag he tested back in 2022.”
“That earlier run didn’t stick,” The Post notes, and “the condo saw a series of reductions before ultimately slipping off the market in April 2024.” The new asking price “reflects a sharper reset — and a more realistic read of where the luxury market is landing for trophy units that once chased pandemic-era highs.”
Purchasing the property for $21 million in 2008, per The Post, Jackman still owns the penthouse with Furness. Whoever picks it up from the pair will be getting a truly incredible abode.
The Sizable Home ‘Is Hard to Ignore’
Boasting over 11,000 square feet of living space that stretches across three floors, the home “itself is hard to ignore,” The Post notes. That’s not to mention the fact that “the glassy aerie sits inside a Richard Meier-designed building — with the Pritzker Prize-winning architect also shaping the interiors.”
Corcoran broker Deborah Grubman, who holds the listing, previously told The Post, “He had done the interior of the apartment for the previous owner.”
‘One of the Most Dramatic Apartments in Manhattan’
“The residence’s striking minimalist design makes it one of the most dramatic apartments in Manhattan,” according to the listing (which, FYI, has the home selling for $28,750,000 despite the price reported by The Post).
Taking up the 8th, 9th and 10th floors of the building, “[t]he 8th floor features a huge recreation room with terrace overlooking the Hudson, 4 bedrooms with ensuite baths and a library/guest bedroom with half bath,” the listing notes.
“The 9th floor features a dramatic 51′ x 26′ double height great room with walls of windows overlooking the Hudson River,” per the listing. “This floor also has a den and lounge area, ethanol fireplace, professional gourmet kitchen and dining room/gallery.”
Beyond that, the listing explains that “[t]he entire 10th floor consists of the primary bedroom suite, a studio/exercise area, luxurious spa bath, sauna and dressing areas. Each floor has a terrace and is connected by a swirling staircase — a work of art in its own right and it’s truly breathtaking!!”
As for the building where the penthouse is found, the listing explains that it “is a full-service condominium with a state-of-the-art fitness center, full-time doorman, and concierge. Dining service can be provided by Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Perry Street Restaurant, conveniently located inside the building.” It’s also “situated on a cobblestone street in the heart of the West Village and is conveniently located [close to] some of the City’s best shopping and restaurants.”
