Anna Camp Delivers Chilling Preview of Her Seriously Creepy New HGTV Show (VIDEO)

Actress Anna Camp is giving people chills with the first preview of her new HGTV show, “A Very Haunted Renovation.”

On August 18, 2026, the “Pitch Perfect” and “Scream 7” star appeared in the first sneak peek at the fall series, which challenges six designers to not only renovate an “eerie and historic Victorian mansion” known for its creepy ghost stories, but “eat, sleep, and live” in the home while they transform it. Yikes.

Anna Camp Says ‘No One Was Brave Enough’ to Renovate Haunted House Before HGTV Swooped In

Set to premiere on September 15, “A Very Haunted Renovation” was filmed at the infamous Bihl Manor in Fremont, Ohio, billed as “one of the most frightening homes” in an HGTV press release.

In the two-and-a-half-minute preview, a former neighbor named Beatriz tells producers she used to see a man standing in an upstairs window, only to learn later that no one lived there and that “the house was empty.”

Next, the property’s current owner, Karlo, says no one informed him the house was haunted when he bought it. But he regularly rents the space out to paranormal investigators who hoping to experience and track ghost activity.

“Ghosts roam three floors of eerie spaces, tormenting all those who enter,” Camp says in the voiceover, and Karlo says he wants to renovate the home but can’t find any contractors willing to try.

Camp’s narration continues, “Unoccupied, falling apart, and on the verge of demolition, no one is brave enough to set foot inside. Until now.”

For “A Very Haunted Renovation,” six brave designers —  SK Stokes KennedyPatrick PeelJohn RyanBershan ShawLogan Wright and Diana Vogel — agreed to stay inside the mansion for 31 days while renovating the notoriously haunted house from top to bottom, bringing its “spine-tingling spaces back from the dead.”

HGTV star Michel Smith Boyd, who’s won two seasons of “Rock the Block,” was also on-site to mentor them and judge each room’s renovations as the six designers vied to win the show’s $50,000 prize.

Boyd was joined by a different guest judge each week, including production designer Hannah Beachler (the first African American to win a Best Production Oscar, for “Black Panther” in 2019), paranormal investigator Jack Osbourne, Broadway star and “American Horror Story” alum Billy Porter, actress Cassandra Peterson (best known as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark), horror movie director Eli Roth and “The Haunting of Hill House” star LuLu Wilson.

The video preview shows glimpses of some of the room renovations, as well as jump-scare moments and funny exchanges between the competing designers. When HGTV posted the sneak peek on social media, the comment sections were flooded with reactions.

One person wrote, “Spooky home renovations?! This is my kind of television!” while another cutely exclaimed, “LET’S GHOOOOOOOST!”

Someone else asked, “Do they know ghosts don’t go away with renovations?” and “100 Day Dream Home” star Brian Kleinschmidt chimed in, “This is gonna be SCARY good! 👻”

In the first of six episodes, per HGTV, the six designers will divide and conquer, splitting into two teams of three. They have four days to pull off bedroom makeovers “inspired by the spirits of Lizzie and Alvie Bihl that are rumored to haunt the sleeping quarters.” “A Very Haunted Renovation” premieres on September 15 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
