Actress Anna Camp got brutally honest about her sexuality nearly a year after she confirmed her relationship with girlfriend Jade Whipkey. The “Pitch Perfect” star spoke her truth, coming out as bisexual in a heartfelt and brave interview.
Anna Camp Comes Out as Bisexual
During an appearance on the podcast, I’ve Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario, Camp owned her sexuality, sharing that she’s bisexual.
“As a 43-year-old woman, I am very proud of myself for owning my sexuality at this age. I am a very strong person for doing it in somewhat of a spotlight with people criticizing and judging and making assumptions. I’m really proud to be bisexual,” the actress stated in a People magazine preview clip.
Navigating this evolution as a 43-year-old woman in the public eye has been challenging. However, not speaking her truth wasn’t an option for Camp.
“I only get one life, and I want to be happy; that’s what life is all about,” she expressed.
There have been several times in her life when things were going a certain way for Camp, and she admitted it would have been easy to stay in that lane. It has happened more than once where she could have just stayed settled instead of evolving and getting uncomfortable at times.
Again, that wasn’t an option for her. The “Scream 7” star admitted her goal in life aside from being happy is to “continue to evolve and to learn.”
Before her relationship with Whipkey, Camp was married twice. Camp was married to actor Michael Mosley from 2010 to 2013. In 2016, she wed her “Pitch Perfect” co-star Skylar Astin. They divorced in 2019.

Last May, Camp went public with her romance with Whipkey when they walked the red carpet at the premiere of her movie, “Bride Hard”. Taking the relationship public earned the couple a lot of attention, especially since Whipkey is 18 years younger than Camp.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, a couple of months after their red carpet debut, Camp admitted she was shocked by the hoopla surrounding her new romance. Despite being surprised, Camp admitted that she and Whipkey also had a slew of support regarding their relationship.
“We’re very grateful and thankful for everybody who is supportive of us. It’s lovely,” she gushed, before adding, “We’re so happy together.
The actress also can’t stop gushing over her love. Camp is so thankful that Whipkey brought this transformation to her life and feels so much gratitude for having her writer girlfriend by her side.
