Fans got an unexpected moment of nostalgia when Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley reunited on stage for the first time in years — a surprise appearance that no one saw coming.
Fans Couldn’t Get Enough Off the Surprise Performance
The surprise unfolded on Thursday, March 19 during a Nashville celebration honoring Jason Aldean and his chart-topping career.
What was meant to be a tribute quickly turned into something much bigger.
Hubbard and Kelley appeared onstage together, marking their first performance as Florida Georgia Line in four years.
The pair performed “You Make It Easy,” a No. 1 hit they co-wrote with Morgan Wallen and Jordan Schmidt.
“Man, it feels good to be here tonight,” Hubbard told the crowd. “It feels good to be here with my brother.”
The moment carried extra weight given the duo’s history.
After more than a decade of chart dominance, they went their separate ways, leaving fans unsure if a reunion would ever happen.
Looking Back at the Breakup
Hubbard has offered fresh insight into the group’s split, shedding light on what led to the decision and where things stand now.
Speaking on the “Human School” podcast in December 2025, Hubbard shared a candid perspective on the end of the duo, which had defined an era of modern country music with hits like “Cruise” and “This Is How We Roll.”
“BK stuck to his convictions and led with his gut and decided to make a decision based on his passion,” he said. “I set a boundary that I wasn’t willing to cross and it is what it is. We both accepted it way before the internet accepted it.”
He made it clear the breakup wasn’t rooted in bad blood. Instead, both artists wanted to pursue individual paths while still respecting what they built together.
A New Chapter?
In recent months, the two have slowly reconnected.
From spending time together offstage to appearing with their families, their efforts to rebuild a friendship have been ongoing.
Hubbard has previously said his focus isn’t necessarily on reviving the band, but on restoring their personal bond.
Both shared the reunion to social media.
Hubbard shared a video where he expressed he was happy to be include in the night.
“Me and BK got to celebrate our buddy @jasonaldean last night and his 30 #1’s. Honored to have written a few of um. Congrats man! What a special night!” he wrote.
