Hayden Panettiere’s ‘Nashville’ Co-Star ‘Utterly Heartbroken’ Following Her Sudden Passing

The sudden death of former child star and actress Hayden Panettiere has rocked Hollywood to its core. Panettiere was beloved by many who have paid tribute to the talented soap star gone way too soon. Many of her former co-stars have honored Panettiere, including her friend Sam Palladio. The two starred on “Nashville” for six seasons as Juliette Barnes and Gunnar Scott.

Sam Palladio ‘Utterly Heartbroken’ Over Losing Hayden Panettiere

In an Instagram share, Palladio posted a carousel of photos to honor his friend and express his heartbreak over her death. The social media post featured behind-the-scenes moments of Panettiere and Palladio, as well as other “Nashville” cast members.

One of the photos was even a cast gathering to celebrate the 100th episode of “Nashville” in 2017. Some were close-ups of Palladio and Panettiere posing together. The photos tugged at the heartstrings, but Palladio’s caption was what got the tears flowing as he mourned his former co-star and friend.

“Hayden. I’m totally utterly heartbroken. I remember watching you long before I met you and being spellbound by your talent, your empathy and your skill as a storyteller. I remember vividly getting the call from my agent telling me that you’d been cast in “Nashville” and my jaw dropped that I’d be getting to meet you, let alone act along side you,” he began his tribute.

Palladio recalled seeing Panettiere for the first time in the lobby of a Nashville hotel. The actor revealed the “Heroes” alum screamed his name and ran over to hug him. Palladio was starstruck and in awe of the warm welcome from the actress.

“I sat and watched your skill on set that had been keenly perfected after years of hard work and hoped one day to shine as brightly as you did,” the musician expressed.

Palladio shared a story about only knowing Panettiere for a few weeks, as they filmed the “Nashville” pilot, and telling her about his desire to visit Los Angeles. Panettiere insisted that he stay with her, despite barely knowing him. The two spent an entire summer together in Los Angeles making memories, including ones with Panettiere’s late brother, Jansen Panettiere, who died in February 2023.

“I also remember sitting in your car and harmonising with you as you practiced the song “Undermine” and thinking what a deep musical passion and soul you had,” Palladio said.

‘Nashville’ Star Sam Palladio’s Tribute to Hayden Panettiere

The actor took a moment to gush over his former co-star as an amazing human, while acknowledging that life wasn’t easy for the “Bring It On: All or Nothing” star.

“You were generous, wise beyond your years and lit up every room with your star. It feels so incredibly sad that you’re not here and that you’d been through so much turmoil in recent years. You didn’t deserve any of it,” he wrote.

Palladio credited Panettiere for the success of “Nashville,” insisting her talent and shine helped make the show a major hit. Then he got brutally honest about the loss of Panettiere and the grief he was feeling after her death.

“This is going to take a long time to get to grips with this huge loss and my thoughts are with your family and your dear daughter and all the fans that are just as heartbroken as me. For now, I’m sending love to you sweet Hayden. I know we’ll all come together in the following days to pay beautiful tribute. Rest now and be free. #hayden #nashville #riphayden #haydenpanettiere,” Palladio ended his touching and heartbreaking tribute to Panettiere.

“Nashville” stars Charles Esten, Chaley Rose, Connie Britton, and more have been flooding social media to remember, honor, pay tribute, and celebrate the beloved Hollywood actress. They aren’t the only ones, either. Many of Panettiere’s former co-stars are paying tribute to the actress, whose astounding talent had a huge impact on the entertainment industry.
