Lopez shared his tribute to Panettiere on Instagram following news of her death.

The ‘90s TV star wrote:

Lopez and Panettiere also had a professional connection through “Nashville,” the country music drama that starred Panettiere as Juliette Barnes.

Lopez appeared as himself hosting his real-life show, “Extra,” in three episodes of the series. His first appearance came in Season 2, Episode 9, “I’m Tired of Pretending,” which aired in 2013. He returned for Season 2, Episode 12, “Just for What I Am.” Then appeared again in Season 4, Episode 18, “The Trouble with the Truth.”
