Viola Davis Pays Tribute to Former Co-Star Hayden Panettiere After Her Sudden Passing

Hollywood is mourning the loss of actress and “Heroes” star Hayden Panettiere, who passed away on August 16. Now, following her death, Viola Davis, who starred with her in Lifetime’s “Custody” and 2006’s “The Architect,” is paying tribute. Tragically, her death at 36 came mere months after her memoir, “This Is Me: A Reckoning.”

Davis took to her Instagram account on August 17 to offer her comments on Panettiere. She did so by posting a photo of the late actress. She captioned the image, “What an amazing talent you were….so gifted. Julius and I loved working with you….an old, wise soul with such a deep heart.

I wish the world had more time with you because I had a burning curiosity about who you were becoming. I saw this beautiful Phoenix rising from the ashes. Your tests became your testimony, and your testimony became your legacy. You will be remembered. Rest well, Hayden. Sending healing prayers to your family, your daughter, and all who loved you. May they always speak your name…”
