Who is Riley Green?
Riley Green is currently one of the hottest country artists in the music industry. However, reality show fans may recognize him from Season 4 of the competition series “Redneck Island” reported NBC Insider.
Green and his partner, Becky Andrews, split the $100K pot that season. The show featured hopefuls stranded on a desert island while completing physical and mental challenges to avoid elimination.
He told Zach Sang, “I am not a reality show guy. I never thought in a million years I would be on one.”
Green continued, “I was playing a gig at the Florabama, a little place down the coast. This guy came up to me after my set and said, ‘You’d be perfect for the show. It’s called ‘Redneck Island’ and its on CMT.'”
“I was really hesitant to do it. But if they mention that I play music, it could help my career,” he surmised. Green appeared on the series in 2014 and 2016.
His first LP, 2018’s “Different ‘Round Here” produced the hit singles “There Was This Girl,” “In Love By Now,” and “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.” He followed that with the albums “Ain’t My Last Rodeo” in 2023 and “Don’t Mind If I Do” in 2024.
Riley Green will take the spots previously held by Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire, who were the resident country coaches on “The Voice.” He previously appeared on the NBC series during the Season 28 Live Finale in December 2025 when he performed his song, “Jesus Saves.”
