Former DWTS Host Erin Andrews Refuses to Give Up Hope as She Continues Her IVF Journey at 47

Erin Andrews is continuing to speak openly about her fertility journey, sharing both heartbreak and determination in a deeply personal update.

During the Tuesday, April 14 episode of “Calm Down with Erin and Charissa,” Andrews, 47, revealed she recently tried IVF again—but the attempt was unsuccessful.

The conversation with her cohost Charissa Thompson began casually, with the pair noting it had been “the longest” they’d gone without talking, before turning to a more emotional topic.

Andrews explained that her week had been overwhelming, sharing that her father had been hospitalized.

Andrews Isn’t Giving Up on Expanding her Family

Amid everything, she made the decision to move forward with another round of IVF. “It didn’t work,” she said plainly.

Despite the setback, Andrews made it clear she isn’t ready to give up.

“Here’s my whole thing,” she continued. “I am crazy, and I am with a doctor that said, ‘Listen, we’ll call it when it’s time.’ But I, like am psychotic right now. I just feel like I believe my body can do it.”

She acknowledged the realities that come with age, noting that “with what history says, it’s not great with producing eggs and the viability of your eggs,” but emphasized that something inside her keeps pushing forward.

“There’s just some [expletive] in me that I’m like, wait, watch me do it,” she added, even referring to her drive as a “weird addiction.”

Thompson quickly offered her support, praising Andrews’ resilience and determination.

“You wouldn’t have Mack if you didn’t have that tenacity,” she said, referencing Andrews’ 2-year-old son, whom she welcomed via surrogate in 2023 with her husband, Jarret Stoll. “There was plenty of roadblocks that got in the way of him, and you were like, ‘Nope I’m doing it.’”

Andrews Has Always Been Open on Her Fertility Journey

Andrews’ journey to motherhood has been anything but simple.

She was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2016 and underwent successful surgery, a life-altering experience that influenced her decisions around fertility.

At the time, she had already frozen embryos with Stoll, whom she later married in 2017.

In addition to IVF challenges, Andrews has also faced loss.

In 2025, she shared that her surrogate miscarried while carrying what would have been the couple’s second child. “We got some real [expletive] news today that our surrogate had miscarried,” she said at the time, explaining that things had initially looked promising.

Even in the face of repeated setbacks, Andrews continues to use her platform to speak honestly about the emotional toll of infertility.

She admitted at the time she almost skipped recording the podcast after receiving difficult news, but ultimately chose to show up and share her experience.

Her openness has resonated with many, offering a raw and unfiltered look at the highs and lows of trying to grow a family. While the path hasn’t been easy, Andrews’ message is clear—she’s not done trying.
