Ezra Sosa shared an update on his relationship with Anna Delvey one year after they were paired together on “Dancing with the Stars.”
During an October 2025 appearance on Danielle Fishel’s “Danielle With the Stars” podcast, Sosa was asked if he was still “friendly” with Delvey.
“We’re not talking right now,” the ballroom pro admitted.
Fishel added that she “heard that maybe there was an unfollow there.”
“Yeah, there was definitely an unfollow,” Sosa confirmed. “And you know what? It’s okay.”
After Fishel noted that “we’re all on our different journeys,” Sosa agreed. “Yeah. You be you, boo boo, and I’ll be me, you know? Respectfully,” he said.
One year ago, Sosa, 24, appeared thrilled by his partnership with Delvey. In a post on his Instagram page last fall, the newly crowned pro dancer wrote, “Excited to announce my very first partner for DWTS is none other than the iconic @theannadelvey!”
At the time, Sosa told TV Insider he loved Delvey because she “keeps it real.” “She’s got nothing to hide,” he said. “When I found out she’s my partner, [my heart] skipped a beat and I fell off the treadmill. For real. …I’m very excited she’s my partner.”
Delvey, who served two years in prison after being convicted of defrauding businesses, per CNN, was on house arrest during her time on DWTS. She was required to wear a GPS ankle monitor during her time in the ballroom. Sosa and Delvey were the first couple eliminated on DWTS Season 33.
Ezra Sosa’s DWTS Season 34 Partner Hopes to Give Him a Better Experience
For his second season on DWTS, Sosa was partnered with Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles. In September, he posted an Instagram Reel that showed him lifting up the athlete with the caption, “Pov: I actually have a shot this year.”
It’s possible that didn’t go over well with Delvey.
Chiles told People magazine that she was “so ecstatic” to be partnered with Sosa. “I’m so happy he gets this opportunity and a better experience in a better way, and that he just gets to really showcase who he is,” she added, in a clear reference to the dancer’s controversial turn with Delvey.
“I was happy that I was gonna be his partner where our energy just matched right away,” Chiles added.
Ezra Sosa Shared a Funny Story About Anna Delvey
While they’re not on speaking terms at the moment, Sosa shared some funny memories of working with Delvey on Fishel’s podcast.
“With Anna, I was like, ‘Do you want to win?’ And she goes, ‘Eh,’” he recalled. “ I was like, ‘Okay, we’re going to have a gag. You know what? We’re going to have a gag and we’re going to have fun doing it.”
He detailed his idea of bedazzling Delvey’s ankle monitor, but he made a major faux pas.
“Honestly, I [bedazzled] it in a way where she couldn’t charge it,” he revealed. “I did it for rehearsal. …But like we would be rehearsing, and then it would beep. I’m like, ‘What the heck is that?’ It’s a low battery. Like, I’m dead.”
“Oh my God. She almost got arrested because of me!” the DWTS pro laughed.
