“Dancing With The Stars” Star Hilaria Baldwin is mourning a devastating loss, saying goodbye to her family’s beloved dog, Dama. The 40-year-old star shared the emotional news on Instagram, reflecting on the inseparable bond Dama shared with their other pet, Gitana.
“This post is for the animal lovers…one of the hardest things about losing our dog, Dama, has been the reaction of our other dog, Gitana. They lived their whole lives, inseparable, and it is gut-wrenching to witness her sadness without her sister 💔😭,” she wrote.

Hilaria and husband Alec Baldwin posted a heartfelt joint message announcing Dama’s passing. “Rest in peace, sweet Dama. You brought so much joy to our lives. You were that dog that slept on my pregnant belly. Your life was long and happy,” Hilaria captioned the tribute.
The couple added, “We are sad but grateful that we had you in our lives,” alongside several photos of their children and dogs through the years. The touching post quickly garnered more than 200,000 likes and thousands of comments from fans, who offered their sympathy.
Remembering the Joyful Moments With Dama

Despite those lighthearted complaints, the couple’s love for their pets was clear in their farewell to Dama.
Now, as Hilaria competes on “Dancing with the Stars” with Alec cheering her on, the family is leaning on one another — and their loyal dog Gitana — as they grieve the loss of their “sweet Dama.”
Hilaria Prepares for Next ‘DWTS’ Performance
As she copes with the loss of her family dog, Baldwin is also focused on her journey on “Dancing with the Stars.” She and her partner, Gleb Savchenko, are preparing a samba for “TikTok Night,” set to air September 30. The pair will perform to “Shake It to the Max (FLY) [Remix]” during week three of season 34.
In week two, Baldwin and Savchenko performed a tango that earned them 21 out of 30 points from the judges. They landed in the bottom three, facing possible elimination. Fans held their breath as two couples were sent home, but Baldwin and Savchenko were ultimately saved to continue in the competition.
