Ant Anstead has a lot to celebrate! The “Wheelers Dealers” host recently celebrated son Hudson’s 7th birthday alongside girlfriend Renee Zellweger, sharing a rare look at their uber private relationship.
Hudson’s Birthday
“Hudzo you were born with a light! An unmistakably GLOW around you! You shine with a beautiful blend of fun, cheekiness, love and so much kindness!” Anstead captioned a video montage shared via Instagram on Sunday, September 6. “You are an utterly brilliant boy and it is a privilege to watch you grow and thrive. I love being your father! Happy 7th birthday Hudzo. Keep on GLOWING! X”
Anstead—who shares Hudson with HGTV star Christina Haack—included sweet clips of his son riding a tractor, playing chess, running on the beach, and attending sporting events.
In one clip the “Bridget Jones’ Diary” star can be seen running alongside Hudson on the beach at sunset. In another, the trio posed for a selfie on what appeared to be another of Hudson’s birthdays. Zellweger donned an orange Hawaiian lei, a circus showman’s cap and pink heart-shaped glasses, while Hudson rocked a paper crown.

“Happy Birthday Hudzo! And love the Renee sightings. Always one of my faves. So lovely you both have found happiness. ❤️🎂🎉🥳” another wrote.
“Happy Birthday to your precious HUDSON! He is a lucky, happy boy! What an amazing life you, REN and Christina are giving him. Thank you so much for showing us the sweet clips of him with Ren. So joyous!!❤️🎂🎉” a third added.
For her part, the “Christina on the Coast” star shared a photo dump to her Instagram with the caption, “Happy 7️⃣ Birthday Hudson!! My sweet boy I adore you and your kind soul!! Smart, adventurous, helpful, silly and a full on Virgo when it comes to organization 😂. I am so lucky to be your mama!! We love you 🤍 ☀️🌙 💫”

Co-Parenting
Following her divorce from Tarek El Moussa, Christina married Ant in December 2018 after one year of dating. Three months later, the pair announced they were expecting their first child together. Hudson was born in September 2019.
Unfortunately, just days after Hudson’s first birthday, Christina and Ant announced their split. Christina filed for divorce in November 2020, and their divorce was finalized the following June.
Ant moved on with actress Renee Zellweger after meeting on the set of his show Celebrity IOU: Joyride in April 2021.
“She’s a very real person. She’s absolutely brilliant, the most grounded, humble person. If there’s a car job to be done at home, I say, ‘We’re doing this together. Put your overalls on, let’s go,'” he gushed to The Telegraph in July.
Following the premiere of “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy” in January 2025, Ant shared a photo from the red carpet with the caption, “Midweek movie night with the kiddos….The Movie was absolutely utterly brilliant and the lead actress was mesmerising and smoking HOT (I have a mega crush on her!) I’ve let the missus know she’s my hall pass….. X.”
