A former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant has just become a grandparent for the first time. Country singer Sara Evans, who competed with Tony Dovolani on season 3 of DWTS, shared the sweet news via Instagram on September 29.
Sara Evans Welcomed Her 1st Grandchild
In the caption of her introductory Instagram post, Evans wrote, “Meet our grandson! We are so blessed!”
She tagged her daughter, Audrey Evans, and her daughter’s boyfriend, John Headley, and added, “We are so thrilled for you and proud of you! I can’t even put this into words! Granny and Granddaddy!”
The singer continued, “We are obsessed! He is the most beautiful baby! Praise God!!!!!!!”
The first photo in the post showed Evans holding her new grandson. She smiled as she cuddled the tiny bundle, perched on the knee of her husband, Jay Barker.
The second photo that Evans shared was a close-up of the newborn. The sleeping baby had one hand raised to his cheek, and Barker cradled the infant’s head as he slept in his grandmother’s arms.
The DWTS Alum Already Loves Being a Grandmother
The new baby’s mother introduced him via an Instagram post. “Welcome to the world our perfect angel 9/29/2025.” She revealed that the baby’s name is John Evans Headley, and she included a handful of photos from his arrival.
Evans received a flood of congratulatory comments from fans as she announced her first grandchild’s arrival.
One fan gushed, “What a beautiful baby boy!! Sending so much love to you all!”
On September 30, Evans shared a new post and gushed, “Second day as Granny and it was even better than the first!”
She added, “He is the sweetest, most beautiful baby boy! Granddaddy took all the pics! Haha! God is great!”
One fan commented, “Beautiful photos. You look so proud to be his Granny.” Evans responded, “beyond proud!”
Another fan wrote, “You look glowing, too. I think being a granny is bliss for you.”
Someone else added, “Wow. U probably never been happier. Look at that smile.” Evans responded to that comment, too. She wrote, “Only when God gave me my babies but this is the same! It’s amazing!”
Evans’ family has had a lot to celebrate over the past few weeks. In an Instagram Story, she shared a glimpse of her other daughter, Olivia Evans, from her wedding day. The wedding was held on September 20, according to another Instagram post.
In her Instagram Story, Evans wrote, “What an amazing day! Love these pics! Love you @oliviaevansmusic @jamesblakeirwin.”
