Tom Holland and Zendaya are one of the sweetest young Hollywood couples, and fans love them together. Holland’s seriousness about his romance was highlighted in a recent interview when he politely corrected the reporter to confirm his relationship status with the “Dancing with the Stars” alum. Zendaya competed on the show in Season 16 in 2013, alongside pro dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy. She placed second.
Tom Holland Makes Sure Everyone Knows Zendaya Is His Fiancée
A clip of the interaction between Holland, the reporter, was shared on X on September 29. In it, you can hear the reporter say, “I brought my daughter, and she got to meet your girlfriend. So, I was father of the year.” To which the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” actor replied, “Fiancée.”
“i can’t he made sure to let everybody know that she’s now HIS FIANCÉ,” a fan wrote in response. “We weren’t even close to being ready for this,” another shared.
Zendaya and Holland got engaged in January 2025, and their relationship was publicly confirmed in 2021 when photos of them kissing emerged. However, the dating rumors started much earlier, around 2017.
The couple has been incredibly private about their relationship, choosing to discuss it rarely with the media. That said, there have been rare comments about their romance, including their engagement. The actor’s father, Dominic Holland, discussed his son’s romance and how he proposed in a Patreon post from January.
“He had purchased a ring,” Dominic wrote, E! News reports. “He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear.”

The couple is expected to keep their wedding out of the public eye, as they have with most of their relationship. Zendaya’s longtime stylist, Law Roach, discussed their approach in an interview with Complex’s “Please Explain” in May.
He was also asked if he had envisioned what Zendaya’s wedding dress would look like, to which he replied, “No.” Roach then confirmed why, saying, “Zendaya is working on six movies. Like she has like six movies coming out. Like I’m thinking about I’m thinking about the press tours. It will probably be a dress that nobody will ever see to be quite honest because she and Tom and are super private about their relationship.”
He said they were “trying to be as private as possible,” adding, “there won’t be a Vogue spread or there won’t be pictures of the wedding, and the people who she will invite will be really respectful of their privacy, so it will be a really beautiful dress that no one gets to see.”
