The “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 finale is on Tuesday, November 25. This season has been an incredible journey for the five remaining contestants and their professional dance partners. As the ABC dance competition comes to an end, we are taking a look at the pros and how many Mirrorball Trophies they have won already. This is everything to know about Witney Carson‘s DWTS journey.
Witney Carson’s Wins
Carson is having an incredible season alongside wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin, and the pair have impressed judges and fans with Irwin’s natural dance ability and Carson’s stunning choreography. The pair has also formed a close, sibling-like bond that has endeared them to fans even more.
Carson and Irwin are a fan favorite and one of the frontrunners for the Mirrorball Trophy this season, but Carson also has one trophy from before. She won in Season 19 alongside actor Alfonso Ribeiro. Ribeiro is now the co-host of the show.
Carson has won once but has come close before, placing second in Season 28 with Kel Mitchell and in Season 27 with Milo Manheim. Carson’s loss of the trophy in Season 27 is one of the most controversial losses in the show’s history because she and Manheim missed out on first place to Bobby Bones and his professional partner, Sharna Burgess, despite Bones being a much weaker dancer.
Update, November 25: After “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34, Carson is now a two-time Mirrorball champion! She and Robert Irwin won!
Witney Carson Is Ready for Another Win
“Dancing with the Stars” fans want to see Carson claim another win, and having Irwin as her partner might help her secure this win. “I’ve become second place a lot of times. It would mean a lot,” Carson told The Hollywood Reporter in a November 11 interview about winning the Mirrorball Trophy. “It would mean a lot in the regard that I really feel like Robert deserves it. And I’m really not just saying that. I’ve been second so many times that I’m not okay with it by any means, but I just want it really bad for him.”
She praised Irwin for his work ethic and the message he wants to spread, and as much as she would love to win this season, she wants the win even more for Irwin. “Like, just winning a mirrorball is incredible, but what his message is and what he’s trying to really spread to the younger generation, his positivity and his joy and his passion for life, I think, is so much more important,” she said of Irwin. “So for him to win, I think it would just mean everything to me.”
