It should come as no surprise that Kendall and Kylie Jenner are on the same wavelength, and the latest example can be found on the 2026 Met Gala red carpet.
Both sisters wore looks that appear to be wardrobe malfunctions at first glance, but in reality, it’s all part of the designs, which nod to the night’s theme, “Costume Art,” which encourages attendees to treat their bodies as canvases. The Jenners also treated their bodies as the direct inspiration for their bold looks for the evening.
Kendall Wore Zac Posen, While Kylie Went With Schiaparelli
GettyKendall’s dress, a hand-dyed piece by Zac Posen for GapStudio, seemingly draped to fit the model’s body perfectly, with one glaring omission. One “breast” is exposed, giving the illusion of a nip slip, when in reality, Jenner wears a nude bodice playfully crafted to resemble anatomy.
GettyKylie’s Schiaparelli gown takes the ruse a step further. It appears that the makeup mogul’s dress is completely falling off her body, exposing a similar corset meant to mimic nudity.
Although it’s safe to assume the sisters planned out the common thread in their gowns, it’s notable that the coordinated looks come from two separate fashion houses rather than going with one designer. The Jenners also arrived separately, further pulling the wool over the casual observer’s eyes when they first encounter the looks.
One can also surmise big sister Kim Kardashian, known for attention-grabbing SKIMS product launches, was in the mix, and perhaps collaborated with the designers. The Jenners’ “bodies” do bear quite a resemblance to one of Kardashian’s most controversial products. It stands to reason that this is all, somehow, part of Kris Jenner’s master plan.
Kendall Jenner Has Never Worn the Same Designer Twice
The model has been attending the gala since she was 18 years old in 2014 in custom Topshop.
GettySince then, Jenner has been mixing it up, wearing Givenchy, La Perla, Off-White, and Versace, among other designers. While many stars play favorites with designers, the model is something of a fashion chameleon, attending the fundraiser with a different house each year.
Kendall Is a Recent “Vogue” Cover Star
Just last year, the 818 Tequila founder shared the September cover of “Vogue” with friend Gigi Hadid. The accompanying equestrian-inspired photoshoot highlighted the models’ shared passion for horseback riding. Jenner has committed to the “horse girl” lifestyle by purchasing a sprawling Montecito ranch as a retreat from the jet-setting lifestyle as a model.
Internationally, Jenner currently has 13 “Vogue” covers under her belt, and it doesn’t look like she’s slowing down anytime soon.
