Formerly a Bravo staple, “Project Runway” is once again bringing together some of the fashion world’s most ambitious designers for its biggest season yet. With 22 designers competing for the title, “Project Runway” Season 22 marks the biggest cast in franchise history and features everyone from couture specialists and sustainable-fashion advocates to returning familiar faces from the “Project Runway” universe. When Does ‘Project Runway’ Season 22 Premiere?
Get ready, as another season of the reality TV design competition is headed back to our screens this summer. The show announced it would be back for Season 22 on Freeform.
For this new season, “Project Runway” will premiere on Thursday, July 9, with a two-episode season premiere. New episodes will air every Thursday on Freeform, and then be available to stream the next day on Disney+ and Hulu, Deadline reported.
Host & Judges for Season 22
While there will be some new faces in the design room, there will definitely be some familiar faces back on the runway.
For “Project Runway” Season 22, all of the Season 21 judges — Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, and Law Roach — will be back. Heidi, of course, will be serving as host for the new season.
In addition, Christian Siriano will, once again, serve as mentor for these new designers, helping them in the design room and making it through the challenges each week.
‘Project Runway’ 2026 Designers
Disney- Aaron Potts – Aaron has founded a unisex line called A.Potts. This line blends function, modernity, and a wink of drama, per PEOPLE.
- Anna Molinari – She is a rising sustainable‑fashion influencer. She wants to show that design can thrive without harming the environment.
- R’Bonney Nola – She is a Filipina American sustainable fashion designer. R’Bonney is also a model, host, and Miss Universe 2022.
- Jennifer Daniels – Jennifer is a formally trained designer and FIT graduate. She appeared as a model on four seasons of “Project Runway.”
Disney- Dani Bennett – She grew up thrifting, which sparked her love for upcycling. She has an emerging brand called moonhAg.
- Robby Crone – Robby is a costume designer who primarily creates custom looks for drag artists.
- Plane Jane – They have competed on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 16 and “House of Villains” Season 3. Plane Jane also hosts the “Kudos for Spilling” podcast.
- Joseph McRae – Joseph is the founder of the New York label JOSEPHMcRAE. He is returning to the show after competing during Season 21.

Disney- Omolara “LRÉ the Artist” Odupita – LRÉ is a disabled Air Force veteran and first‑generation Nigerian creative. LRÉ channels emotion and silhouette into transformative design.
- Andrea Moore – She is a street‑fashion designer, entrepreneur, and mother of three. Andrea is known for her gender‑neutral silhouettes, unexpected textile pairings, and refined craftsmanship.
- Bao Tranchi – She was a finalist on “Next in Fashion.” She is a mother of two with a thriving career in both costume and celebrity design.
- Jeffery Kelly Abess – He is the founder of Jeffrey Kelly Designs. They are known for their high-fashion statement pieces that merge couture craftsmanship with modern glamour.
Disney- Jude Mikulencak – Jude is a Brooklyn-based designer inspired by and rooted in classic tailoring.
- Bryan Barrientos – Bryan is a Peruvian-American designer. His designs have been seen at New York Fashion Week and the Met Gala.
- Chloe Magleby – She is a designer from Provo, Utah. With her label, Public Parts, she pushes the boundaries of sustainable fashion.
- Elizabeth Shevelev – Per PEOPLE, she is an emerging New York City artist and designer known for experimental textile manipulation and an anti‑perfect design ethos.
Final ‘Project Runway’ Season 22 Designers
Disney- Andriy Volkov – Andriy is a Ukrainian-born designer and couture artist whose work bridges worlds and draws on global influences.
- Yangyang Xu – She is a womenswear and print designer. She was born in China, trained in London, and now lives in New York.
- Octavius Terry – He happens to be the CEO and head designer at OCTAVIUS MARSION. This is a men’s ready-to-wear brand that has been seen on major celebrities and global red carpets.
- Naheim Muhammad – He is a young designer from Inglewood, California. He creates spiritually driven and functional designs.
Disney- Bi Pham – Bi was born in Vietnam and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He shifted from science to fashion to explore modernity and sensuality through premium ready-to-wear.
- Varvara “Bobby” Diakonenkova – Bobby is originally from Moscow, but came to the United States to pursue fashion design. Bobby uses fashion to speak about world politics and feminism.
