‘Duck Dynasty’ Favorites to Return in New Great American Family Series

Get ready, because it seems like a few of the Robertsons from “Duck Dynasty” fame are officially entering a brand-new era. Great American Family has announced a new unscripted series, “Jep & Jess: Beyond the Bayou,” set to premiere on their streaming platform (Great American Pure Flix) in 2026. The series follows Jep and Jessica Robertson (obviously) as they expand their world beyond Louisiana and plant new roots in Texas. Faith, family, business risks, and plenty of everyday chaos? That combo feels very on-brand;  and honestly, very welcome.

Jep and Jess shared their excitement directly with fans on Instagram, writing, “We are so excited to join @greatamericanfamily @greatamericanpureflix for our new unscripted series taking you along our current adventures on our Texas Robertson Ranch, parenting growing kids, becoming grandparents, and so much more!❤️” Simple, heartfelt, and exactly the kind of update longtime viewers love to see.

From the Louisiana to Texas?

According to the official press release, “Jep & Jess: Beyond the Bayou” isn’t just about a change of scenery; it’s about taking a leap of faith in every sense of the word. The series centers on the couple splitting time between their Louisiana home and Texas after finding success with vacation rental properties. Now, they’re going all-in with a major financial investment that could become a legacy business for their children and grandchildren.

That premise alone feels meaningful, but the heart of the show is still very much about family. Viewers can expect to see Jep and Jess juggling parenting, grandparenting, and the same kind of hilarious misadventures that helped make the Robertson name so recognizable in the first place. Whether it’s Jep trading duck calls for dusty boots or Jess bringing her homesteading heart (and a fresh new look) to Texas, the synopsis promises humor, heart, joy, and chaos while building something that lasts.

Great American Media even explained why the partnership makes so much sense.

“Jep and Jessica are going to feel right at home on our network. The series isn’t just about them building physical homes; it’s about creating spaces where people led by faith can truly be at home. We believe their journey will uplift hearts and inspire a deeper sense of purpose and community.”

Let’s be real; that mission lines up pretty perfectly with what viewers already associate with Jep and Jess.

Fans Are Ready, and the Comments Prove It

Unsurprisingly, the comment section quickly turned into a love fest. Great American Family star Danica McKellar jumped in, writing, “Can’t wait! 😍 Was so fun to have you join us for “Have We Met This Christmas?” – you guys were great!! 😍” That familiar crossover energy only added to the excitement.

Fans echoed the enthusiasm with reactions like, “So excited! I’ll definitely be watching for the release!” and “I can’t wait yall were always my favorite 😭.” Others kept it short and sweet with comments like, “Love the Robertson family,” “Love this!!,” and “So exciting! 🙌👏🙌👏.” Translation: the audience is already locked in.

Jep and Jessica also shared why this collaboration felt like the right move.

“We chose to partner with Great American Media because their values so closely mirror our own. Faith and family are central to our lives, and we are excited to share this new chapter with viewers. We hope our journey will inspire everyone to pursue their dreams with a sense of purpose and wholehearted faith both in their own lives and in their communities.”

It seems like this series isn’t about rewriting their story… it’s about continuing it. New land, new challenges, same heart. And honestly? That’s exactly why fans are ready to tune in all over again.
