“Gilmore Girls” alum Milo Ventimiglia (Jess) has revealed the bond he shares with Jared Padalecki (Dean) and Matt Czuchry (Logan), decades after the show. On screen, they played Rory’s (Alexis Bledel) three boyfriends, who did not get along at all. However, off-screen, that’s not the case for the three actors.
‘Gilmore Girls’ Hunks Have Love for Each Other
Nearly two decades after “Gilmore Girls” ended, it’s as popular as ever, with generations of fans debating who was the best boyfriend for Rory. “Gilmore Girls” fans have strong opinions about being Team Jess, Team Dean, or Team Logan.
Speaking with People magazine, to promote his new film “I Can Only Imagine 2,” Ventimiglia once again confirmed that he is Team Dean all the way. The actor even admitted he would be just fine if his daughter, Ke’ala, ended up being Team Dean, because Ventimiglia’s a huge Padalecki fan.
Ventimiglia also revealed the lovely bond the three guys share off-screen. While Jess had no use for Logan or Dean, Ventimiglia has nothing but kind words to say about his former co-stars.
“I mean, they’re the best guys. They couldn’t be any lovelier as human beings, and I think it’s nice that more than 20-plus years later we all still can talk about this show we were growing up on and come together as grown men just to recognize that and still have loving words for one another,” he expressed to the outlet.
The “This Is Us” star’s comments come after Czuchry and Padalecki reunited in a Panera commercial that played on the Rory’s three boyfriends drama but involved soup instead of boyfriends.
Padalecki and Czuchry were also part of People’s Sexiest Man Alive, where Padalecki admitted to being Team Jess all the way. Czuchry, though, felt like he could be Team Logan if the character got his act together after everything that happened in “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life”.
Milo Ventimiglia and Jared Padalecki’s Hilarious Friendship Moment
In 2016, when Padalecki was doing an Entertainment Weekly interview for “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life”, Ventimiglia hilariously interrupted him for a very good reason. Ventimiglia wanted a hug and a photo with his friend.
The actor literally runs up, snaps a photo with Padalecki, then runs away, then turns back after Padalecki says “I love you” to go in for a hug. While Ventimiglia is running off, Padalecki jokes about what a nice butt he has to keep the hilarious momentum going.
It’s such a beautiful moment of friendship and truly shows the bond between these two men.
