Hallmark fan favorite Nikki DeLoach has shared that her son, Bennett, had an “extraordinary” accomplishment following his serious medical crisis. DeLoach wasn’t surprised at all at her son’s latest achievement and proudly revealed it on social media.
Nikki DeLoach Gushes Over Her Son Bennett
The beloved actress is a proud mama following a major moment involving her youngest son. In an Instagram post, DeLoach shared three photos.
One was just Bennett looking adorable and showing off a cute grin. DeLoach posed with her son in the other two photos. It was smiles all around in the last picture that also included the family’s dog.
“A few weekends ago, Bennett hit a baseball so hard it went over the fence, cracking a windshield. The coach said that was a first for them. I wasn’t surprised. Because this is the same kid who stared down a life and death health crisis and said not today. The same kid who taught me what matters most. That the ordinary moments? They were never ordinary. They are always extraordinary,” she wrote.
The “Home Turf” star went on to remind fans that the specially designed Benny Bracelet was created for her son and other children just like him.
“The Benny Bracelet exists because of him. And because of every child who faces a life-or-death health crisis and somehow still finds a way to crack windshields,” the actress expressed.
DeLoach reiterated that all the proceeds to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, “the place that helped give Bennett, and millions of other kids, their shot at a wild and wonderful life. Wear it for Benny. Wear it for every kid still fighting,” she ended her message.
Bennett’s Life Saving Surgery Amid Health Crisis
The Hallmark beauty has been outspoken regarding her son Bennett’s congenital heart defects, which were discovered in utero. When Bennett was five days old, he underwent a life-saving heart surgery.
However, that wasn’t the end of the health scare for DeLoach and her husband, Ryan Goodell. At 12 months old and 18 months old, Bennett, who DeLoach has referred to as her “heart warrior” had additional surgeries.
Now, at 8 years old, Bennett can do the same things other kids can, like hit a baseball so far that it cracks a windshield. Even though the young boy is doing well physically, DeLoach has shared that Bennett will likely have another surgery when he’s 10 years old.
For now, though, she’s relishing these joyful moments with her son. The actress continues to use her platform to raise awareness about Bennett’s disease and help inform other families about the resources available to them.
DeLoach’s advocacy led her to create the “Benny Bracelet” with Raine Jewelry as another way to raise awareness and give back.

My Benny Bracelet is always on my wrist. I have a good friend that has a son that gone through much that your Benny has gone through. He is now a young man that has made it through high school and has started college. He has made it through all this with many hospital stays. Now he is going through all the steps and procedures to be put on the heart transplant list. He and his wonderful supportive family have been involved in Mended Little Hearts since he was born. He is now called on to speak about his health journey and to advocate for pediatric heart care.
You are an Amazing Mom & of course an Actress. Your Son is an Awesome kid. My Prayers for him & His Mama.
What a handsome young man whose face is hiding a beautiful soul. God bless all of you!
