Hallmark Star Tamera Mowry-Housley Shares Touching Message & Family Photos Ahead of Mother’s Day

Tamera Mowry-Housley has a lot to be thankful for when it comes to both her personal and professional life. Along with being a successful Hallmark star, she has a family she absolutely adores.

The actress made that quite clear when she shared both a message and photos to mark Mother’s Day.

Tamera Says Her Children ‘are the Greatest Gifts’

Taking to Instagram on Friday, May 8, Mowry-Housley popped up a collection of photos that featured herself and her husband, Adam Housley, along with their two children when they were younger. The couple’s son, Aden, was born in November 2012, while their daughter, Ariah Talea, made her appearance in the world in July 2015.

In the caption of the post, the star wrote, “As we head into Mother’s Day weekend, I just wanted to take a moment to say how much I love being a mama and how honored I feel to share this journey with my two children.”

“You two are amazing lights in this world and I’m forever grateful for the lessons you both are teaching me — both beautiful and challenging,” she continued. “You two are the greatest gifts I could ever ask for. This weekend, and every day, I hope all of you moms feel deeply loved, celebrated, and appreciated for everything you do. 💐”

Mowry-Housley’s social media followers loved her post, with one person leaving a comment, saying, “Awww, Mama Bear 😍🤱🏽🐻🩵🩷 Happiest Mother’s Day Tamera 🫶🏾😘💐”

Tamera Has Opened Up About Balancing Work & Motherhood

“There’s a certain time when your kids just really need you,” Mowry-Housley said while talking to Parents in December 2025, about both her family and career. “I always have that guilt that I’m missing something or I won’t be there at a pivotal moment where something happens at school, or they have an emotional time, and I’m not there.”

“It’s very easy to not be present when you’re a working mom,” she added. “You’re thinking of other things when you’re with your kids, and they’re asking you a million questions, saying ‘Mom, mom, mom, mom.’ And if you have multiples, it’s magnified.”

“It becomes overwhelming,” she admitted. “But I learned the importance of making time to be there for their most important events.”

Mowry-Housley also noted that the family has a pact, which involves the actress’s husband and children traveling with her if she’s gone for more than two weeks at a time.

Beyond that, she gave credit to her significant other, telling Parents, “He believes in me and my dreams. He wants to see me pursue them. He will hop on a plane, and he does it all… He cooks, he does my daughter’s hair, he drives them to school.”

She added, “He’s just a great father — we are partners in this thing.”
