For the third consecutive Saturday, social media was buzzing about “The Groomsmen” on September 20, 2025, as the final movie in Hallmark’s unique trilogy, “The Groomsmen: Last Dance,” premiered on Hallmark Channel.
The trio of movies, starring a trio of Hallmark fan favorites — Tyler Hynes, Jonathan Bennett, and B.J. Britt — debuted in the fall of 2024 on streaming platform Hallmark+. But the network’s first buddy movies — with each rom-com focusing on a different male character’s love story — made their Hallmark Channel premieres one year later, reaching an even wider audience.
Like the first two movies — “First Look” (highlighting Britt’s character Pete) and “Second Chances” (featuring Bennett’s character Danny) — “Last Dance” centered around a new romance and personal growth story for Jackson, played by Hynes. The third movie was trending on X within minutes of its September 20 debut on Hallmark Channel, and by the end of the two hours, fans were flooding social media with calls for more “Groomsmen” movies.

Fans in Tears as They Ask For ‘The Groomsmen’ Movies to Continue
Hallmark“Last Dance” ended on a high note as Jackson’s daughter Betty revealed herself as the trilogy’s narrator and had her own wedding, cleverly set in the same hotel ballroom where multiple critical scenes had played out years before in each movie. Many fans noted they were crying through the sentimental, surprise twists at the end of “Last Dance,” and are now longing to see Hynes, Bennett, and Britt dive deeper into their characters’ stories.
One fan tweeted, “#TheGroomsmen @hallmarkchannel We need another movie since Jackson didn’t get married. Off-screen doesn’t count.”
“Forever grateful to all who made The Groomsmen Trilogy possible,” another tweeted. “Each film tells a story that we will cherish forever. I truly hope this is not the end for Pete, Danny and Jackson.”
Another weighed in on Instagram, “Nicely done Tyler. Jackson’s story was amazing. Relationship between father and daughter hit home. The ending was the best and so touching. Thank you, all of you for making this trilogy. Don’t stop there. 💕”

‘The Groomsmen’ Stars Say They’d Love to Continue Telling Their Characters’ Stories
Hynes, Bennett, and Britt have been vocal about how close they grew working on “The Groomsmen” movies in Europe alongside producer Ryan M. Murphy. But could they keep the story going, and would they want to?
Days before “The Groomsmen: Last Dance” premiered on Hallmark Channel, Hynes joked to EntertainmentNow, “Well, in every interview we do, me and Jonathan and B.J. like to announce that there are three more movies coming every year!”
“But I mean, we’ll see what happens,” he continued. “There are more stories to tell. I think there are endless stories, because it is about these three friends. They’re sort of like a brotherhood and it’s just them navigating life and all of its colors. That is the centerpiece of all this, and I’m just taken aback by the response — first on Hallmark+ and now being on Hallmark Channel.”
One of the things Hynes loved about the ongoing fan engagement was seeing how many viewers noticed bits of foreshadowing or subtle winks (Jackson’s daughter Betty, for instance, was named after Hynes’ real-life mom).
“With such an aggressive timeline, that we achieved any of those things at all, like symmetry and stuff, I’m very proud of,” Hynes said. “If we do revisit doing it again in this format, that’s something I would like to think there’s more opportunity to do, kind of like a game to be played with the audience in terms of Easter eggs and encouraging them to pay even closer attention to things.”
Similarly, Bennett told EntertainmentNow, “I know that Tyler, B.J., Ryan Murphy, and I will jump at the chance to be able to continue to tell the stories of Pete, Jackson, and Danny because there’s so much to explore in a friendship like theirs, and there’s so much story to be told.”
“The point of this trilogy was to watch a group of best guy friends see each other through the ups and downs in life, including love, family relationships, all that,” Bennett continued. “So I want to see them start families and be there for the birth of their best friend’s child. All those things that happen in real life, I want to keep telling. We definitely want to keep telling these stories (but the decision is) just completely above our pay grade.”
Hallmark Channel will re-air “The Groomsmen: Last Dance” on September 21 at 6 p.m. Eastern time and on September 24 at 8 p.m. Eastern time. It is available to stream on Hallmark+ along with the rest of the trilogy.
I wasn’t able to watch the groomsmen trilogy in September; but, I scanned the Guide & found that it was being re-broadcast the first part of October. The perfect choice of actors-B J Britt, Johnathon Bennett & Tyler Hynes was the right fit. From start to finish, these characters seemed like they ACTUALLY had been childhood friends. When they had the 3-men dance, it was like I was watching 3 high school guys dance together-well that sealed the deal for me❤️ Hopefully, I see another Pete-Danny-Jackson trilogy again-maybe Pete & Jackson will seal the marriage deal.🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
