The next best thing to seeing “The Groomsmen” reunite for a fourth Hallmark movie, which plenty of fans are desperately hoping for, is witnessing the franchise’s all-star trio of Tyler Hynes, BJ Britt, and Jonathan Bennett reunite in real life.
On August 12, 2026, Britt gifted fans with a hilarious video montage of footage from their wild time together in New York City during the first week of August, brought back together for Hallmark Channel’s 25th birthday festivities. Britt captioned his post, “Getting the groomsmen back together SEEMED like a good idea. 😅”
Fans Can’t Get Enough of ‘The Groomsmen’ Reunion
Britt’s video opened with a perfect example of his, Hynes, and Bennett’s infectious energy and joy: a video of them rowdily cheering and jumping up and down (with Bennett’s husband, Jaymes Vaughan, joining in) as if their team had just won the Super Bowl. What got them so fired up? Probably just being together!
The video featured clips from hilarious moments the trio shared during their NYC reunion, including Britt and Hynes goofing off at a fitting for matching cream-colored summer suits. At one point, Hynes quipped, “I’m wearing BJ by BJ Britt.”
There were also plenty of funny close-ups of the bros making faces, wagging their tongues, striking funny poses, and just having a blast in New York as Maroon 5’s “Payphone” played in the background. Hynes quipped in the comments, “We’re in a band.”
He wasn’t the only one who had something to say. Fans flooded Britt’s comment section with pleas for another movie and gratitude over seeing them still having so much fun together, including one who wrote, “You three are hilarious and you make me smile thanks 👌🤍🥾”
Someone else commented, “I’m sorry, I can’t come to the phone right now, I’m stuck in a Groomsmen time loop, & I never wanna leave!😂😳👀🥰💕🫠 Here for it, all day!
Another gushed, “ALWAYS a good idea to have a Groomsmen reunion! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥” while a different fan swooned, “Too much hotness in one reel 🔥🙌”
Filming & Promoting ‘The Groomsmen’ Birthed a ‘Brotherhood’ Between Tyler Hynes, Jonathan Bennett & BJ Britt
Hynes, Bennett, and Britt co-starred in three “The Groomsmen” movies, which premiered on Hallmark+ in 2024 and then made their Hallmark Channel debut in September 2025. The trio spent a summer filming and bonding in Greece, Italy, and Bulgaria, and routinely gush about the lasting connection they developed.
Hynes worked closely on “The Groomsmen” concept with Bennett, who was inspired by his own friendships and experiences as a real-life groomsman. They brought in creative partner Ryan M. Murphy, who has executive-produced many Hallmark movies, from “Cranberry Christmas” to “Round and Round.”
Together, they made a bit of history, creating Hallmark’s first movies to tell love stories from the male perspective (though they’re also seen through the lens of the female narrator). The second film in the trilogy — “The Groomsmen: Second Chances” — also broke ground by featuring the network’s first gay wedding, which earned the group a 2025 GLAAD Award for Best Movie — TV or Streaming.
“Navigating all that together was such a journey,” Hynes told EntertainmentNow in September 2025. “We became best friends through the high highs and low lows of it all.”
Once B.J. Britt was cast as the third groomsman, he quickly became part of their tight-knit “brotherhood,” Hynes said, calling him “the brightest shining light.”
Bennett echoed that sentiment, telling EntertainmentNow, “You cannot meet B.J. Britt and not absolutely fall 100% love with him, because he is the funniest, charming human being I’ve ever been around in my life. As soon as casting said B.J.’s name, I was like, ‘That’s the guy. It has to be B.J.’ And it just clicked.”
All three of “The Groomsmen” movies are available to stream on Hallmark+. While there’s been no official announcement of a fourth movie, the trio will be back together for the first weekend of the Hallmark Christmas Experience in Kansas City.
