Jonathan Bennett will not only be a nominee at this year’s GLAAD Media Awards; the beloved Hallmark Channel star will also host the show.
GLAAD, the world’s largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization, announced on February 23, 2026, that Bennett will host the 37th Annual Awards on March 5 and Demi Lovato will perform, per The Wrap. Bennett’s Hallmark colleagues could not be happier for him.
Jonathan Bennett Will Be Up for 2 GLAAD Awards While Hosting the Show
Each year, the GLAAD Awards honor media that honor “exemplary achievements for fair, accurate, and inclusive representation of the LGBTQ community” in the media, from movies to music to websites.
In addition to Lovato’s performance at the ceremony, GLAAD said special celebrity guests will include Cara Delevingne, Don Lemon, Laverne Cox, Kristen Wiig, Lauren Chan, Lili Reinhart, Mindy Cohn, Paul Feig, Tig Notaro, and many more.
Bennett has received a total of nine GLAAD nominations for Hallmark projects over the last five years, and won the Outstanding Film — Streaming or TV award in 2025 for “The Groomsmen: Second Chances,” co-starring fellow Hallmark stars Tyler Hynes, B.J. Britt, Heather Hemmens, and Bennett’s onscreen love interest, Alex Lincoln.
In 2026, he’s nominated for two more awards. Season two of “Finding Mr. Christmas,” the reality competition Bennett co-created and hosts, was nominated in the Outstanding Reality Program category. His movie “A Keller Christmas Vacation” is nominated for Outstanding Film — Streaming or TV, as is “The Christmas Baby,” starring Ali Liebert and Katherine Barrell.
After Bennett received his latest nominations, he told EntertainmentNow, “To get to tell queer stories to a broad audience comes with a high level of responsibility that I don’t take lightly. Love is for everybody. To get to tell love stories that look like mine on a network that is based in love stories is a beautiful thing.”

GettyBennett’s Hallmark family flooded GLAAD’s post about his hosting duties with love, including his “The Christmas House” co-star Robert Buckley, who referenced Bennett’s hilarious hidden camera prank he posted days earlier.
“I hope the waiter from Valdovia makes an appearance,” Buckley wrote.
“The Way Home” star Sadie Laflamme Snow exclaimed, “Omg this so so great!! Have the best time everrrrr!! 🩷”
His “The Groomsmen” co-star Heather Hemmens chimed in, “Nothing has ever made more sense 🎉👏🏽💘 Congrats babe!!”
Robbie Simpson, an openly gay and fan-favorite contestant on the 2025 season of “Finding Mr. Christmas,” wrote, “I might be biased but @jonathandbennett is the best host ever. 🎄🎄”
Bennett will host the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on March 5. The show will begin streaming on Hulu on March 21.
