Ben & Erin Napier Discuss ‘Home Town’ Future After HGTV Cancellations

Ben and Erin Napier kicked off season 10 of their hit HGTV show “Home Town” on January 4, 2026. Will they continued beyond their 10th year of the show? Following so many HGTV cancellations in 2025, the Napiers say they are “grateful” their show is still on.

Ben & Erin Napier Discuss ‘Home Town’ Future: ‘Everything Is Fleeting’

In a January 2026 interview with TooFab, Ben and Erin talked about 10 years on HGTV and their thoughts on the show’s longevity.

HGTV canceled “Married to Real Estate,” “Christina on the Coast,” “Bargain Block,” and “Farmhouse Fixer” in 2025. When asked how it feels to still be on the network after so many cancellations, the couple shared they are “just lucky.”

“Everything is fleeting,” Erin noted. “We’re just lucky.”

Ben shared, “This is a weird time for TV and a lot of people within the industry have asked us questions like this and we don’t know why our show is still on.”

He continued, “It’s probably because so many people watch it and love it and connect with it. And we are grateful for that.”

“But at the end of the day, Erin and I feel like we are getting up every day and going to a normal job and going to work,” the HGTV star added. “And we love the people that we work with. We love what we get to do.”

Erin added, “People watch what we do. We don’t even think about that part.”

Ben explained, “We don’t think about the big picture of it … it’s always about the what’s right in front of us.”

He added, “We don’t know what TV is going to look like in a year, much less 5 years, 10 years from now. It looks very different than it did 10 years ago when we started doing this. But our day to day looks the same.”

Ben explained that everything is “fleeting” and “you can’t hold on to anything” with TV. “It’s all one day going to come to an end,” he shared. “The fact that it’s been going for this long feels unbelievable … like a dream.”

Ben & Erin Napier Signed a Deal for More ‘Home Town’ Through 2027

The Napiers aren’t leaving HGTV anytime soon.

In January 2025, Variety reported that Ben and Erin renewed an exclusive deal with the network, guaranteeing that their show will continue through 2027.

In a statement released at the time, HGTV head of content Loren Ruch noted, “Our collaboration with Ben and Erin has led to ‘Home Town’s’ popularity with our key audiences and strong ratings performance every season. This new deal will ensure fans get more of what they love about the series, which is the Napiers’ charming relationship dynamic and passion for designing beautiful family homes in their small town.”

Ben and Erin shared in a statement: “The HGTV family is where we belong. Shows are often impermanent but ‘Home Town’ endures, we think, because it lives on a network that teaches and gives comfort to people. It’s more than pretty houses. That’s something we are proud to be part of.”
