Egypt Sherrod Suffers Painful Injury After Healing From Surgery: ‘It’s Been a Scary Road’

Egypt Sherrod shared a painful life update with fans, explaining that, after recovering from surgery, she suffered a serious injury. Find out what the former HGTV star has been going through and her optimism about brighter days ahead.

Egypt Sherrod Gives Fans an Update About Surgery & Injury

On January 6, Sherrod took to Instagram to give a quick life update. The former “Married to Real Estate” star has been through a lot recently, but is focused on healing.

“Hi family! 🖤 I owe you an update … sorry for the silence,” Sherrod wrote in the caption of the since-deleted post. “I had to step away from the world for the past five weeks to focus fully on healing after surgery. It’s been a scary road, but I’m still standing and still on the mend.”

She continued, “Now here’s the wild part … just as I finally got back on my feet last week, a literal piece of marble fell on my foot and shattered two of my toes. TWO. The devil is absolutely a liar.”

Sherrod noted, “But listen … the bright side? This still happened in 2025, the year of the snake 🐍, so I’m rebuking all of this energy for 2026, the year of the horse 🐎. No carryover. None.”

The former HGTV star assured fans that she’s doing okay. “And despite two shattered toes, I’m walking! no cast, no boot. So yes, I’m getting back on this horse and riding it all the way out.”

“This season is about dreams realized, dead weight released, walls and ceilings shattered, and doors kicked wide open,” Sherrod added. “I’m creating opportunities for every woman I can, even if I have to kick in those damn doors with broken toes.”

“CLAIMED!!!!!! And so it is,” she concluded.

Her health update came after a cryptic January 3 post that had fans wondering if everything was okay with Sherrod and husband Mike Jackson.

“A good woman’s patience is often mistaken for tolerance of harm, when in reality it is a form of hope. She may give chances not because she lacks strength, but because she believes in goodness, growth, communication, and the possibility of repair,” Sherrod wrote in the caption.

The “Married to Real Estate” star noted, “She carries the weight quietly, adjusting, forgiving, and trying again long after others would have walked away. But every boundary crossed, every repeated disappointment, slowly clarifies something important: love cannot survive where respect is absent.”

Sherrod’s Fans Share Love & Prayers

Sherrod’s fans flooded the comments section with messages of support and prayers.

“I pray you heal quickly. 2026 will be great for you … believe it, relieve it, and thank God,” one fan wrote. “Wishing you all the best!!!”

Another fan noted, “Feel better Egypt. I miss y’all show so much ‘Married to Real Estate’ … been watching reruns lol … love you and Mike. I pray you get well soon.”

“Glad this worked out for you and not too much damage,” another fan commented. “No kicking Egypt 😂 Yes to 2026, we got this. I miss seeing your beautiful face on HGTV.”

“So happy you are on the mend and sorry to hear about your toes. Glad you are getting around,” one of her followers noted. “Take your time to heal. Always behind you with love and support. Sending God’s blessings for 2026 and beyond. Much love.”
