Heather El Moussa Shares Tremendous Growth After Leaving ‘Selling Sunset’

HGTV star Heather El Moussa had a modeling and acting career before making it big. But most of the world met her when “Selling Sunset” premiered on Netflix in 2019.

Heather quickly became a fan-favorite, but ultimately parted ways with the network after season 7. She quickly transitioned to a career with HGTV where she could star alongside her husband, Tarek El Moussa.

Any career transition comes with difficulty, but Heather feels incredibly grateful for the growth she experienced.

Heather El Moussa Reflects on Her Journey to HGTV Stardom

During the course of “Selling Sunset,” Heather El Moussa found herself entangled in a few disagreements, but ultimately preferred to stay out of the office drama. After leaving the series, she went on to build a thriving HGTV career.

But she knows she couldn’t have done it without a lot of hard work and personal growth.

“Season 1 Heather was cute but she had no idea what was coming 😂🤍” the designer captioned her latest Instagram post. “The life, the love, the chaos, the brand, she could never have dreamed this. So grateful for every hard chapter that got me here.”

“Heather from season 1 ‘Selling Sunset’ could never,” she wrote over the video, adding various growth milestones to the text. She included, “be this happy,” “have this much love around her,” “build her own brand,” “actually slow down,” “have a bestie co-parent,” and finally ended on “be her” with a recent clip of herself.

Plenty of fans shared positive words in the comments, thanking the reality star for sharing her journey.

“Season 1 Heather needed this Heather to show her how good life would become! 👏 You did that!” one Instagram user encouraged the reality star in the comments.

The Designer Heads Back to Netflix

Even though Heather El Moussa officially left “Selling Sunset” after season 7, she maintained positive relationships with many cast members. Now, she is planning on making her big comeback.

Us Weekly confirmed that the 38-year-old will reappear in “Selling Sunset” season 10. However, filming faced a hiccup during contract negotiations. Former cast member Christine Quinn is also set to return, but disagreements over production have temporarily halted things behind the scenes.

In the meantime, Heather has plenty of other projects to occupy her time. The El Moussas and Christina Haack are filming another season of “The Flip Off,” much to fans’ excitement.

“The Flip Off” season 2 returns to HGTV later this year.
