Heather El Moussa Makes Grand Netflix Return, What to Expect

HGTV star Heather El Moussa is no stranger to the world of reality television.

After getting her start on Netflix’s “Selling Sunset,” she later left to co-star with her husband, Tarek, on “The Flipping El Moussas.” Their HGTV show wrapped up in 2025 and they went on to star in “The Flip Off” with Tarek’s first wife, Christina Haack.

Fans expect to see “The Flip Off” season 2 premiere on HGTV later this year. But in the meantime, they’re getting excited about Heather’s latest project. She’s finally headed back to Netflix, but in what capacity?

Heather El Moussa Makes Her Netflix Comeback

Heather El Moussa has had the time of her life starring on HGTV shows alongside her husband. However, it seems like she’s dabbling in another project on the side.

Us Weekly confirms that Heather Rae El Moussa will return to Netflix’s “Selling Sunset” after leaving the show back in 2023.

In an interview with The Bossticks podcast, the designer mentioned that she used to love being part of the Oppenheim Group, but things changed as “Selling Sunset” grew in popularity.

“In the beginning it was just all fun, not crazy drama. We were all friends. Any drama was just simple,” the 38-year-old shared with the hosts. “Then it just got worse and worse and worse. They started adding in more girls. It just became out of control.”

Heather went on to add that it wasn’t at all uncommon for her to return home in tears after filming. Making the shift to HGTV was the best choice for her mental health at the time.

“Yeah, it’s very toxic. You’re around a bunch of women that everyone wants to be stars on the show, No. 1. And they’ll kind of do anything,” she admitted.

It’s not yet known what role Heather El Moussa will play on “Selling Sunset” season 10. But with recent cast departures, Netflix might be eager to sign her back for a full-time role again.

Another Familiar Face Returns to “Selling Sunset”

It seems that Heather El Moussa isn’t the only “Selling Sunset” alum making a major comeback. Christine Quinn will also be part of the upcoming tenth season. Netflix had to delay filming and production while they finalized her contract.

Us Weekly confirmed Christine will be back in the Oppenheim Group’s office after her four-year absence.

Christine is currently starring on “House of Villains” season 3.

“Selling Sunset” season 10 will likely look much different than previous seasons. Breakout star Chrishell Stause confirmed she was excited to finally exit the show. Nicole Young and Chelsea Lazkani have also officially left the show, according to Us Weekly.

Viewers can watch “Selling Sunset” seasons 1-9 currently on Netflix.
