How to Watch the New Season of ‘House Hunters’

HGTV’s “House Hunters” is back for Season 271! No, that’s not a typo; that is really how long the series has been around for.

Below is everything you need to know about the latest season, including where to watch it, why to watch it, and the future of the show on HGTV.

Where To Watch ‘House Hunters’ Season 271

The latest season of the long-running reality TV show, which first aired in 1999, will premiere on HGTV on December 1, 2025. The episode will begin at 10 p.m. EST and is titled “Gettin’ Hobby With It.” Andromeda Dunker will once again narrate the season.

Full episodes of “House Hunters” can also be watched on the official HGTV Go app. Most streaming services offer older seasons of “House Hunters,” including Disney+, Discovery+, and Hulu. If you already have a subscription to one of these streaming services, you can catch up on past episodes ahead of the latest season.

The Future of ‘House Hunters’

It has been a tough year for reality TV! Fans have been left feeling disappointed after their favorite shows were cut. Many popular shows have been canceled by networks this year, even when they appeared to have solid ratings. However, after almost 25 years on air, “House Hunters” is not going anywhere!

Fans can rejoice knowing that hundreds of new “House Hunters” episodes have been greenlit through 2026.  In a press release on Disney in October 2025, it was revealed that “nearly 400 episodes of fan-favorite juggernaut House Hunters and House Hunters International” were confirmed.

“Attracting over 13 million primetime viewers each month, the series will offer fans their signature fun and interactive viewing experience when they peek inside three different homes, check out the layout and furnishings, evaluate them, and pick which one they think will work best for the new homeowner,” the statement reads. “House Hunters is produced by Pie Town Productions, and House Hunters International is produced by Leopard USA.”

Other shows that received programming updates include “Botched Homes,” “Neighborhood Watch,”  “World’s Bargain Dream Homes,” and “Property Brothers: Under Pressure.” As for why HGTV decided to save these titles?  “With this programming order, HGTV is delivering more of our tried-and-true formats that drive consistent ratings for the network, while also featuring new talent and concepts to engage our devoted fans and attract different audiences,” Warner Bros. Discovery Chief Creative Officer Howard Lee said in a statement.
