Jenny Marrs‘ new book is coming out soon and, as she prepares for the big release, she opened up about one of her biggest fears. See what the HGTV star said about how leaning on her faith gave her the answer she needed.
Jenny Marrs Reveals Fear About Her New Book
On October 3, Marrs took to Instagram to give fans an update about her upcoming book release.
“We are FOUR days away from launch day of ‘Trust God, Love People!,'” she wrote in the caption.
Marrs continued, “I had originally blocked next week off from filming ‘Fixer to Fabulous’ in case I would need to travel to New York for press or host signing events in ‘larger markets.’ And, if I’m being brutally honest, as Tuesday has inched closer and press opportunities didn’t come through like I had hoped, I have felt defeated and frustrated. I was anxious that I wasn’t ‘doing’ enough and would let down my publisher with lackluster launch week sales.”
The HGTV star noted, “But the heart of it all was my fear that I would let down God. I wanted this book to point people to Him, after all. (What if no one hears about it? What if no one reads it? It’s up to me to make sure they know! I have to do more!).”
Marrs found peace in her faith, explaining, “As I sat with my Abba and admitted my frustration and my (prideful) fears to Him, I felt the words ‘quiet and calm’ wash over my soul.”
The “Fixer to Fabulous” star shared, “He knew all along. He already knew that my heart would be so weary this week. He already knew that I really, really didn’t want to leave my babies at home and fly to a big city and sit in front of cameras and lights and smile. He knew all along that when my schedule for the week was cleared, I would exhale audibly. He knew I needed to truly hand this book over to Him. I needed to listen to my own words and be open-handed with this thing — this book — that I was holding on too tightly to.”
She added, “After all small, quiet, and still is infinitely more powerful than loud, flashy and overstretched. I did my part, now He’ll do His.”
“Lord, may this book be in the hands of the ones who need the message,” Marrs noted. “Get it there however you see fit. It’s yours, it’s all yours.”
