Jenny Marrs Gives Sweet Update on Rescue Cow Minnie

How did Dave and Jenny Marrs‘ rescue cow, Minnie, adapt to their family farm? The HGTV star gave an update on how Minnie has acclimated to her new home.

Jenny Marrs Shares Adorable Minnie the Cow Update

On September 14, Marrs took to Instagram to share a video of her daughter Charlotte petting her horse while Minnie ate nearby. Charlotte approached the cow and crouched down to be near her while she was eating.

“Minnie came to us scared and skittish. She didn’t trust us or the other animals in the pasture. Her first herd had only taught her that she wasn’t worthy of love,” Marrs wrote in the caption.

The HGTV star continued, “Day after day after day, we have been in the pasture offering soothing words, yummy treats, and gentle movements. She is beginning to trust.”

“This evening, as I watched my girl do the thing she’s done countless times before, I was reminded of 1 Corinthians 13. Love is patient, Love is kind, indeed. These ancient, wise words feel especially poignant today,” she added.

Love never gives up.

Love cares more for others than for self.

Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.

Love doesn’t strut,

Doesn’t have a swelled head,

Doesn’t force itself on others,

Isn’t always ‘me first,’

Doesn’t fly off the handle,

Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,

Doesn’t revel when others grovel,

Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,

Puts up with anything,

Trusts God always,

Always looks for the best,

Never looks back,

But keeps going to the end.

1 Corinthians 13:5-7 MSG

Fans loved the latest Minnie update, with comments including, “Proof that love always wins” and “She wouldn’t even let anyone near her at first! So impressive.”

Others noted Charlotte’s love for animals. “Your daughter has a good heart/soul,” one fan wrote. “How she kneels down to their level shows love, understanding, and compassion.”

Jenny Marrs & Family Welcomed Rescue Cow to the Farm Over the Summer

On July 18, Marrs introduced her followers to a “rescue cow” that her husband Dave brought home, noting that she “didn’t fit the standards for the cattle farm” because she was “too small” and “too different.”

“But, here? Here, you are enough,” the HGTV star wrote.

She continued, “Today, you are sad and confused and scared. You left everything you’ve ever known. You were taken to a strange pasture with strange animals and humans.”

Marrs shared that they would work hard to earn the cow’s trust. “We know it’s going to take more than gentle words and yummy treats. We know it’s going to take us showing up, day after day,” the “Fixer to Fabulous” star wrote.

She added, “It’s going to take sacrifice on our part. Time and energy and love poured out. And, without a doubt, we know it’s going to be worth it. We can’t wait to watch you flourish here, little one. Welcome to the farm, Minnie!”
