Jenny Marrs’ Son Adds Personal Touch to Emotional ‘Fixer to Fabulous’ Makeover

Jenny Marrs often has her family help on “Fixer to Fabulous,” and her son Luke contributed something very special on the season 7 premiere. See the HGTV star’s youngest child at work on the meaningful art project.

Jenny Marrs’ Son Luke Paints a Sweet Penguin on ‘Fixer to Fabulous’

On December 2, the HGTV Instagram account showed a clip of Luke in action, painting an art piece to hang in his former teacher’s home. Marrs and her husband Dave worked to rebuild the home, which was damaged when a tornado ripped through their town.

“Just call him Luke van Gogh,” the caption read. “A new season of #FixerToFab starts tonight at 8|7c.”

In the video, Luke works with Marrs’ artist friend to create a large piece of art.

“I wanted to have Luke paint something for our client … she was his preschool teacher,” Marrs explained. “My sister is a teacher and she loves to get gifts from her kids.”

She continued, “Luke’s favorite animal/thing in the world is a penguin and so, he’s going to make Ms. Ketner a penguin because he loves them.”

‘Fixer to Fabulous’ Tackles Huge Project

Dave and Jenny had their work cut out for them on the first episode of “Fixer to Fabulous” season 7.

In a December 2 Instagram post, Marrs shared a brief look at how much cleanup was necessary before they worked on the home.

“This video is a flashback to last year and the morning after tornadoes tore through our town,” the HGTV star wrote in the caption. “That morning, our family, alongside many others, rolled up our sleeves to help our friends (and Luke’s preschool teacher) after their home took a direct hit.”

She continued, “After a long cleanup and then battle with red tape to get insurance money, it was finally time to restore the Ketner’s home. Dave and I were honored to step in to help.”

“We wanted to not only give them a roof over their heads, but we wanted to ensure it was now a place where they could feel safe and make new, joyful memories together,” Marrs noted.

She added, “Their last night in this home was a terrifying one and we wanted to ensure all of their future nights are peaceful and sweet.”

The HGTV stars also shared photos from the episode, which included an image of Marrs hanging Luke’s special artwork.
