Jenny Marrs is feeling grateful this holiday season after a year of devastating losses. The HGTV star is opening up about how, despite the passing of dear loved ones in 2025, she has a lot to be thankful for.
Jenny Marrs Gives Thanks to Her Dear Friends
On November 26, Marrs took to Instagram to explain that she couldn’t participate in an annual tradition because of her grandmother’s funeral. Even though she missed out on the special surprise her friends planned, she shared her “heart was so full.”
“Each year, we fly in from cities across the country and spend the first weekend of November together. This year, I had to cancel my flight because it was the same weekend as my Nana’s funeral,” Marrs wrote in the caption.
She continued, “So, I missed the weekend together and the surprise they had planned — a book launch party for my book! These girls have walked through every single chapter alongside me and prayed for me along the way as I wrote. I can’t believe we didn’t get to actually celebrate together but my heart was so full knowing they did so for me.”
In the post, Marrs shared photos of their adventures over the years, as well as a watercolor painting of the friend group.
“And, then, I received this piece of art in the mail from Lindsay … we always do a ‘favorite things’ gift exchange and this time, she told us that her favorite ‘thing’ isn’t a thing at all — it’s us and our friendship 😭,” she noted. “So, now every time I look at this adorable piece of art, I’ll smile and whisper a prayer of gratitude for these girls and these friendships.”
The HGTV star added, “Because friendships like this are a gift. So, on the eve of a day set aside for thankfulness, I’m thankful for intentional, thoughtful, there-through-thick-and-thin, friends. 🤍 Love you girls! 🫶”
