We lost two beloved HGTV stars in 2025, and as the year comes to an end, we are taking a moment to remember them and celebrate their lives.
Remembering Frank Cozzolino
Frank Cozzolino was a regular on HGTV’s “Holmes on Homes” and “Holmes Family Rescue.” He passed away on December 4 and was 56. Mike Holmes shared the news of his passing and expressed his devastation at his loss with a touching Instagram post.
Holmes posted several photos of Cozzolino on December 5 and shared his thoughts in the caption. “I am devastated by the passing of my good friend Frank Cozzolino. Frank made us better. His impact will live on in every home he helped,” Holmes shared. “Frank could walk into the toughest electrical disaster, crack a joke in his style, and suddenly the whole room felt lighter. That’s just who he was.”
Holmes also praised Cozzolino for being a skilled electrician but also for caring about all aspects of the job and the people involved in the projects. He ended his message with a heartbreaking tribute, writing, “Frank will forever be part of the Holmes family. Miss you buddy.”
Fans showed their support in the post’s comments. “I loved the episodes he was on. You could tell he really cared about what he did,” a fan shared. “My favorite was when he said ‘it’s all gotta come out’… Thoughts and prayers with his friends and family.”
Another fan also showed their support, writing, “Oh Mike, I’m sorry to hear this. We’ve spent many years enjoying watching Frank on your shows. Having lost a longtime coworker/friend, I can empathize.”
A third comment reads, “Oh man!! I have watched that guy work with you since you started on TV. RIP Frank.”

His impact stretched far beyond the screen. Loren was the connective tissue of every room he entered – the glue that bound teams, departments, and friendships. He possessed the rare gift of making people feel seen, valued, and inspired to do their best work.”
