Benard replied to the fans’ X with his opinion and a tease for what’s coming next. “There’s nothing wrong with doing another profession or change as long as both characters still have power And that is the plan I can tell you right now what they have planned in the future is absolutely beautiful.”
The fan was thrilled with Benard’s response and told the actor that fans trust him and are excited about what’s next for Sonny. Another fan was happy with Benard’s reply too, but wanted to make sure that DA Turner, aka Justine (Nazneen Contractor), was still in Sonny’s orbit.
“I just had some fun great scenes with her later😎,” Benard wrote to the fan. There was definitely a mixed reaction to the latest development with Jason and Soony. Some are ready for a new chapter, while others like the mob stuff.
One thing fans could agree on was that Burton and Benard hit it out of the park in the emotional scenes where Jason told Sonny he couldn’t work for him anymore. The two actors have spent decades working together, and it shows every time they are on-screen.
Maurice Benard Enjoys Cheeky Exchange With ‘General Hospital’ Co-Star
The “General Hospital” fan club luncheon took place last weekend. It was where Ryan Paevey (Cassius) got honest about his future on the hit ABC soap.
Benard was in attendance and had fun with one of his favorite leading ladies. In a social media post, Benard shared a hilarious video of him and Laura Wright (Carly).
“This is Laura Wright. Queen Laura Wright,” he declared in the footage. Wright smiled before, joking, “Where is your little brunette?” The reference poked fun at Sonny’s relationship with Justine.
Benard got a kick out of the joke as the two of them were all smiles in the video. The actor further expressed his appreciation for Wright in his caption.
“let me tell you about @welcometolaurasworld not only talented but she makes me laugh like crazy!!! great sense of humor @generalhospitalabc,” Benard wrote to praise his friend.
Fans enjoyed the chemistry between the two soap stars. It had many of them ready to see Carson back together. Other fans, though, are loving the current dynamic between Sonny and Carly.
There is good news for Benard and Wright fans. Wright just confirmed she signed a new contract with “General Hospital”, so that means more of their chemistry on the hit ABC soap.
