Love is still in the air for “General Hospital” stars Laura Wright (Carly) and Wes Ramsey (Peter) after nine years of dating. The soap stars used social media to mark the occasion with sweet words and memories from their life together.

Taking to Instagram, Ramsey posted a photo of him with Wright during a European vacation they took earlier this year. It was smiles all around for the happy couple, who began dating in 2017.
“A love story that keeps writing itself…♥️ we have 9 yrs of growing up together and still laughing like kids. 9 yrs of evolving towards our best selves, encouraging each other along the way. 9 yrs of commitment to keep seeing what tomorrow brings. I love you Laura. Thank you for each new chapter. Happy NINE!!! 💃💥🕺🏼#ouranniversary❤️,” the “Days of Our Lives” alum wrote to his lady love.
Wright popped up in the comments to say, “Happy 9 babe ❤️❤️!!!” The beloved “General Hospital” star also used social media to celebrate her anniversary with Ramsey.
In an Instagram share, Wright posted a throwback photo from their early dating days and another from their European adventure, where it was pouring rain but the couple was still smiling.
“How it started ➡️ how it’s going. 9 ❤️” she wrote as her caption.
Laura Wright Opens Up About Relationship with Wes Ramsey
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Wright got real about her nearly decade-long romance with her former co-star. Ramsey and Wright knew each other before things turned romantic back in 2017. They had appeared on “Guiding Light” back in the late ‘90s and early 2000s.
Life took them in different directions until a run-in at the Daytime Emmy nominees’ reception decades later changed everything. Ramsey asked a newly single Wright for her phone number. Two days later, they went on a date and have been together ever since.
Wright admitted to Soap Opera Digest that she was in a very different place, coming off her divorce from husband John Wright after 20 years of marriage, when she first started dating Ramsey.
“My whole life had shifted. I went from married to divorced, playing Carly, and also having young children that were graduating high school and going to college. I wasn’t thinking about long-term, you know? I was just trying to get through the day, quite frankly!” Wright expressed, referring to her divorce and children, daughter Lauren, 27, and son John.
The actress explained that in the early days of her relationship with Ramsey, she was still living in Santa Ynez, near Santa Barbara, with her kids. Wright would only see him when she was in Los Angeles filming “General Hospital”.
Not long after they began dating, Ramsey joined the ABC soap as villain Peter August, where he stayed until 2022. The couple was once again co-stars as they navigated their new romance.
Fast forward nine years, and the couple not only lives together but also has an adorable dog who is their world. In fact, Wright explained that walking the dog is one way she and Ramsey bond. She also shared that working on herself after her divorce allowed her to fully commit to Ramsey and their life.
Wright stated that Ramsey knows her so well, including whether she is holding back or if something is troubling her. The soap star revealed her man has a way of letting her be in her feelings, while checking in on her at the same time.
They are not the same people they were in the beginning, and that comes from hard work. Wright explained they also make sure to lean into the fun and joy in their relationship.
“Everyone has their own magic that they find in their own relationship. I’m just grateful we found ours,” she declared.
