Soaps Stars Team Up for Hallmark Movie

Days of Our Lives” star Peter Porte and “The Young and the Restless” alum Lyndsy Fonseca are set to star in a brand-new Hallmark movie. The two have each appeared in many movies for the network over the years, and they have now revealed that they just wrapped filming one together.

The New Hallmark Movie with Peter Porte and Lyndsy Fonseca

Porte used Instagram to reveal he’s working with a fellow soap star. In his social media share, Fonseca and Porte pose together for a touching photo.

@lyndsyfonseca and I have been busy working on something very special this last month and we can’t wait to share it with you 💜 @hallmark @hallmarkplus @hallmarkchannel,” teased the actor in the caption of the Instagram post.

Fonseca also used social media to share the news, but she didn’t just reveal her movie with Porte. The former soap star shared some behind-the-scenes fun from Vancouver, where the Hallmark flick was filmed.

While she featured moments with Porte in her Instagram post, Fonesca also showed off fun family time with her two daughters, Greta and Evelyn.

“Vancouver you’re always a good time. @hallmarkchannel I love collaborating, thank you for everything. Way more pics and behind the scenes to come. I love these people so much! @peteporte @rhiannajagpal @hallmarkchannel,” she wrote as the caption.

Neither Fonesca nor Porte shared details regarding the movie. One Hallmark fan account on Instagram teased that the movie is called “The Love Heist,” but there is no confirmation from the network that it is, in fact, the title of their flick.

Fans and Famous Faces React to the Soap Stars Working Together

There was no shortage of excitement for seeing Porte and Fonesca in a new Hallmark movie.

Hallmark star Melissa Peterman, who worked with Porte for years on the sitcom “Baby Daddy,” left several red heart emojis. Ashley Williams chimed in to call the duo, “My favorite humans!!!”

The Young and the Restless” fan favorite Beth Maitland, who played Fonesca’s mom on the CBS soap, wrote, “Loving you both!!! My daughter and the gentleman!❤️”

Fans also popped up in the comments to share their happiness over Fonesca and Porte’s news.

“That’s exciting! Can’t wait to hear about it and then to look forward to seeing it!!” insisted a fan. One fan expressed, “So happy to see you both in another Hallmark movie.” Many fans simply share that they “can’t wait” for the film.

Porte’s last Hallmark movie was the 2023 film “Notes of Autumn,” starring Williams, Marcus Rosner, and Luke Macfarlane. Fonesca was part of Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas last year in the movie “Single on the 25th,” which also starred Daniel Lissing.
