Tributes for beloved actor Patrick Muldoon continue to pour in following his sudden passing at age 57. Muldoon’s “Days of Our Lives” family has been flooding social media with memories of him. Two of the show’s biggest stars, Deidre Hall (Marlena) and Muldoon’s on-screen mom, Lauren Koslow (Kate), are honoring him after the heartbreaking loss.

Hall used Instagram to remember her former co-star. She posted a photo of her with Muldoon, Christie Clark (Carrie), and Alison Sweeney (Sami). It was smiles all around for the foursome as they posed for the picture.
“The sweetest man. A terrible loss,” the soap icon wrote.
In a sweet Instagram share, Koslow posted a couple of photos of her with Muldoon, who played her son on the soap, in the entryway of the DiMera mansion. The first photo was of them showing off their rockstar side, while the second photo was a sweet one of Muldoon lovingly hugging a laughing Koslow.
“For a period on #Days I got to play mama to this beautiful, free spirited and extremely creative soul- Patrick was a constant delight – we had FUN! I remember the laughter most of all . Thanks for the magical interlude. My heartfelt condolences to your family, friends & all who loved you sweet man- you are missed. Rock on ❤️❤️❤️,” she declared as tribute to Muldoon.
Muldoon originated the role of Austin Reed on “Days of Our Lives” in 1992. Three years later, in 1995, he left to join “Melrose Place” as Richard Heart. Even though Austin was recast with actor Austin Peck, Muldoon returned in 2011 to reprise Austin until 2012.
In what is now Muldoon’s heartbreaking final scene on “Days of Our Lives” Austin and Carrie say goodbye to Salem at the Brady pub before leaving to begin a new life in Switzerland.

The comment section of both Hall and Koslow’s social media tributes were filled with members of Muldoon’s soap family reeling from his unexpected death.
“Uggggg heartbreaking 💔,” shared Galen Gering, adding, “Loved by us all! Gone way too soon. Rest in power Patty! Love you!”
“General Hospital” star Kate Mansi, who played Abigail on the hit Peacock soap, stated, “Rock on is right! He always hated his hot his tv mamma was ❤️.” Hallmark staple Sweeney also chimed in to say, “Love these photos. So classic pat.”
It’s not just in the comments that the soap stars are honoring Muldoon. Wally Kurth (Justin) used Instagram to gush over his former co-star and use their love of music to pay tribute to him.
Gering also wrote his own post for Muldoon, stating he wanted to “wake up from this nightmare,” but the reality was that the world had lost one of the greats. “ Patrick was one of a kind — a gifted actor, an incredible singer and songwriter, absolutely hilarious, and one of the best friends you could ever ask for.”
The tributes are pouring in for Muldoon and not just from soap stars either. Denise Richards broke her silence about losing her longtime friend, and Barbara Eden paid tribute to her former co-star.
