Beloved soap star Kelly Monaco has given a rare glimpse at her life today, nearly two years after her shocking “General Hospital” exit as Sam McCall. The “Dancing with the Stars” winner has been keeping a low profile and living a very private life since her departure from the ABC soap. However, she recently revealed a moment from an epic trip that has fans missing her even more on the show.
Kelly Monaco Shares ‘Unforgettable’ Family Outing
The “Port Charles” alum used social media to share a life update. Monaco spent time in her hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and had a day that she will never forget.
It turns out that the actress and some of her family members got to spend time at the Philadelphia Eagles training camp. Monaco posted a carousel of photos to Instagram to reveal her epic day with family and friends while she was home.
“A day that could only happen in Philly. 💚❤️ @philadelphiaeagles Training Camp, meeting @jalenhurts, @cooperdejean, @cameronlatu, @landondickerson69, @scot.teller21 from I Play Rocky, and then wrapping up the day cheering on the @phillies. 🦅⚾️,” she began her caption.
Monaco went on to reveal what made her experience so epic and memorable. “The best part? Sharing it all with @kellysmom1, my nephew @_kalebb, and one of my closest friends @daveophilly. 20+ years of friendship, two Philly kids, and somehow Dave always finds a way to make every visit home unforgettable. Fans wasted no time sharing how much they miss Monaco on the ABC soap and their excitement about her love for the Eagles. “My fellow Eagles sis lookin🔥 🦅💕” wrote former “General Hospital” and “One Life to Live” alum Kristen Alderson.

What Happened to Kelly Monaco’s Podcast?
In March 2025, five months after Monaco ended her two decade run on “General Hospital”, she announced a new podcast with her pal Shanna Moakler. The two used social media to reveal they were launching the Bad Bunnies podcast.
Monaco and Moakler planned to dish all the Hollywood gossip, various hot topics, and dating in unfiltered conversations. However, over a year later, the podcast has not dropped because it is no longer happening.
Moakler revealed last summer that Monaco had stepped away from the podcast to focus on other work projects. No details were given on those projects, nor has Monaco announced any new work information since then. In fact, the soap star never even addressed her decision to no longer be part of the podcast.
