Martha Stewart Continues Her Birthday Week With Another Stylish Moment

Martha Stewart is continuing her 85th birthday celebration in style.

Just days after reaching the milestone, the lifestyle icon posed in a classic black swimsuit and shared a glimpse of how she was spending her summer weekend.

On August 8, Martha posted an Instagram photo of herself standing in a swimming pool. She wore a black one-piece swimsuit by Eres and topped off the look with a hat from Barbour.

“We are loving the pool,” Martha captioned the photo.

Rather than focus on her recent birthday, she kept the post centered on her outfit and the relaxing poolside moment.

Martha turned 85 on August 3.

Swimsuit Style Is Familiar Territory

The new photo is not Martha’s first memorable swimsuit moment.

In 2023, she made history at age 81 as the oldest person to appear on the cover of “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.”

Martha later told People that she trained for three months before posing for the issue.

“I went for it,” she said. “I really worked out.”

Her daughter, Alexis Stewart, encouraged her to visit the gym every day while preparing for the shoot.

‘I Don’t Think About Age’

Martha has made it clear that turning 85 has not changed how she views herself or her life.

“I don’t think about age,” she told People ahead of her birthday. “Eighty-five is just a number. That’s all I consider it.”

The businesswoman said she did not want a large party and did not view the milestone as a major event.

Her Instagram photo reflected that perspective, showing Martha enjoying her usual summer activities without placing much attention on the number.

Martha Shares Her Beauty Routine

Martha credits her appearance and energy to a combination of genetics and daily habits.

“I have good genes,” she said to the outlet, noting that her mother continued to look good at 95.

Martha also pointed to eating healthy foods, limiting alcohol, avoiding smoking and exercising daily. Horseback riding remains one of her preferred forms of exercise.

She said she visits New York City dermatologist Dr. Dan Belkin for occasional filler touchups but maintained that she has never undergone plastic surgery.

“I’m more a maintenance kind of person,” Martha explained.

Her routine also includes products from her Elm Biosciences skin care line, facial exercises and professional facials.

She Has No Plans to Slow Down

Martha remains busy with her businesses and creative projects, even if she would appreciate more free time.

“I’m still a perfectionist,” she said. “I still like to do many things at the same time.”

Although Martha said she is not concerned with being rich or famous, she still has a few personal goals.

“All I want to be is comfortable, have beautiful gardens, have enough money to support my family and treat my friends well,” she said.

She also admitted that she would still like to own a large yacht.

For Martha, the goal is not to appear younger. It is to remain active, curious and open to new experiences. “My goal is to keep learning about everything,” she said.
